Witherstalk is a tier 1 rare herb in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Background[]

Elodia,

I said you could take a few components for your personal use. I'm certain I didn't say you could empty our stores! Enchanter Ines looked like she was shitting hognuts when she noticed. Do you know how long it took to collect that witherstalk? I know what you're doing with it! No one needs that many warming draughts.

I'm locking the chest. Find your own witherstalk. Or perhaps either you or Ferran could try to stick to your own quarters.

—A note written by Apprentice Veralinn of the Fereldan Circle[1]

Maker, Vera!

That is not what's going on! All the witherstalk in the chest was dried anyway, and you know it's only efficacious as a preventative when the sap is fresh. I'm more interested in its effects on the mind when combined with certain other plants. Ines knows all about it. Just ask her. She probably forgot that I'd already told her. Old bat.

And please, Ferran and I are more than able to amuse ourselves without resorting to the tired old dip-and-stir. Maybe if you got out of the botanical section and looked at other books.

—Apprentice Elodia's reply[1]

Acquisition[]

  • Random loot from sacks.
  • Found in the Forbidden Oasis:
    • From the Marker landmark, head in a southwesterly direction, following the vegetation:
      • There are two nodes along the way before the vegetation starts veering northwesterly.
      • Continuing northwesterly, there are three more nodes. The third node is due west of the Marker and due east of a small campsite located in a small nook off the cliff face surrounded by sandbags (a loot chest can found near by, from there the trail starts to go northeasterly).
      • One additional node along the trail can be potted before reaching the Intrinsic Pool from the oasis' canyon entrance (a loot sack can be seen on the right and a Dragonthorn node to the left).
    • From the Marker landmark, head in a northeasterly direction, towards the vegetation.
      • One node, then head north.
      • One node just before the canyon entrance due east of the Desert Inquisition Camp.
    • From the Desert Camp, cross the eastern rope bridge (there is a Dragonthorn node to the left):
      • One node due east just before reaching the rockface.
      • Two nodes southwest of that one.
    • One node in the Stratos region, southwest of Par'as Cavern.
    • Two nodes in Grant's Crossing: one next to scaffolding with a large pulley wheel hanging from it; the other under the bridge that leads back to the first.
  • Available at the Winter Palace Merchant for 39 Currency (Inquisition) (infinite amount).
    Note: Trespasser required.
