Welcome Home is an Act 1 companion quest for Merrill in Dragon Age II.

Acquisition 
Edit
This quest becomes available after Long Way Home, the Act 1 main quest in which Merrill joins Hawke's party. It is available whether or not Hawke told Merrill that she could expect a visit.
Walkthrough Edit
Simply travel to Merrill's Home in the Kirkwall Alienage in Lowtown, and then speak with her. Hawke will ask how she is getting on without her clan.
Result Edit
Hawke can earn friendship or rivalry points depending on the second dialogue choice that is made:
- "Don't thank me."

- "You're welcome."
- Merrill: friendship (+5)

- "Did you really?" (Flirt)
- Merrill: friendship (+5)

| Bug!  (1.04) It should also be noted that if "Did you really?" is chosen after the initial diplomatic option, not only does it not reward you approval points, it prevents any friendship or rivalry point gains thereafter, for the rest of the game. Bug does not occur if you open with the humor option.
