It all started at the headquarters of the Cotiere. The mission should have been a quick-clean kill, but we were wrong. I arrived in Kirkwall and found many refugees from the Blight scratching and clawing their way to get in. Many begged to enter, but were refused by the templars guarding the gates. I knew my target would get in easily with a bribe, so I followed suit and did the same. I approached one of the templars, showed him some of my wealth, and I was allowed entry into the city. I moved to Lowtown and started to ask around, see if anybody heard anything about my target. I immediately began making friends with the locals because I knew it would help me in the long run. I entered The Hanged Man and walked over to the bar. I bought myself a drink and asked the bartender if he had heard any rumors or news going around. He told he heard an Orlesian noble was seen leaving the Viscount's Keep. I made my way to Hightown and began chatting with a local merchant who told me my target had bought a large estate and hired a band of mercenaries as protection. He knew I was on his trail, so I had to be stealthier. I would have to wait before I struck and that was my first of a many mistakes I made going after this target. A month later I got a tip that my target made nightly visits to Darktown. I decided that is where I would strike. My second mistake was acting on the tip which proved to be false and I ended up killing the wrong guy. This guy ended up being the son of the Viscount and that would come back to haunt me later on. After my failed attempt, I started spying on my target figuring out his schedule on my own because I could no longer trust my informants because I knew they were being paid of by my target. After some time passed I finally knew his schedule like I knew the back of my hand. I then planned my escape route. I would take out my target and escape on a ship leaving for Fereldan where I would hide out there until I was no longer suspected of his death and I would return to the Cotiere and recieve my payment. The target was making a deal with some templars in the Gallows. I moved through the shadows stalking my target and then I struck. I came out from my hiding spot, pulled out my shortbow and began firing at my target. Then out of nowhere I was assaulted by the Viscount's men. I was arrested and placed in the Gallows where I waited to be executed. I came up with an escape plan and I succeded. I escaped the Gallows and tried one more attempt to kill my target, but he had already escape back to Orlais or so I thought.
