During the events of Penny Arcade comics, he was part of a templar group which was hunting down apostates in the Korcari Wilds.
After his group killed a woman, Ser Thiall questioned if she was really the apostate they sought and began to doubt their quest. After threatening to speak with the Revered Mother in Lothering about the templars' abuses, he was mortally wounded by a fellow Templar.
