Vivienne de Fer, the First Enchanter of Montsimmard has extended an invitation to her salon at the chateau of Duke Bastien de Ghislain.
Acquisition EditAfter the encounter with Lord Seeker Lucius and Revered Mother Hevara in Val Royeaux, a mage approaches you and delivers an invitation from the First Enchanter.
Travel to Duke Bastien's estate via the world map.
The Inquisitor will join a party with Orlesian nobility, and be quickly caught in dialogue with a pair of guests. The man will express that Gaspard will lose the Orlesian Civil War. The woman will be more interested in the Inquisitor, asking if the stories about them are true.
Once an answer is given, a marquis will walk down the stairs and join the conversation, accusing the Inquisition of being nothing but a revolutionary movement filled with political outcasts pretending to answer a higher calling, but in fact only interested in grabbing power. He will also challenge the Inquisitor to step outside for a fight.
As he reaches back for his sword, Vivienne freezes the marquis and walks down the stairs before the Inquisitor can even answer. She will ask the Inquisitor how she should handle the offending marquis, to which the Inquisitor can ask her to kill him, let him go, or that (s)he does not care.
Later, in a more private conversation, Vivienne offers to join the Inquisition. One romance dialogue is available in the wheel, and the Inquisitor can inquire about her motives in joining the Inquisition. Finally, you can decide whether or not to recruit her. Codex entry: Vivienne: Madame de Fer will unlock upon completion of the quest.
