Firefly reference

While I'm not a big fan of most trivia sections in the wiki that usually boil down to "Name John is a possible reference to John from X", I thought this one was ok:

• David Gaider has drawn inspiration from Firefly before (Alistair).
• Weapon is explicitly stated to be named by it's owner.
• Name is uncommon and is the same as the name of Jayne's weapon.
• There is also a hat knitted by the character's mother. And it even looks similar to Jayne's hat.

Doesn't that count as 'multiple similar traits'? If it doesn't the same piece of trivia should be removed from Finn's page. Mostlyautumn (talk) 07:12, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, I see your point, though I tend to look for a much higher number of commonalities or a citable source when validating trivia, and wasn't satisfied with the evidence given. I had yet to look at Finn's page at the time, so that's why I didn't remove the trivia there. However, I would like for an admin to weigh in on this before either reinstating the trivia or removing the trivia on Finn's page. ----Isolationistmagi 07:38, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

I am positive that the new DA:Trivia guidelines should be able to settle your points. Hence I am removing the unresolved discussion tag. 10:07, September 19, 2013 (UTC)
