IN had reported that elemental damage sources (including spirit) were capped at 50% in the expansion. Having an item with 100% damage bonus seems silly. Any thoughts? Tivadar 16:48, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

It is INCREDIBLY silly. The Rings of Discipline and Mastery at least give super-bonuses to all of your mage-related stats (Magic, Willpower, and Const.)... Soulbound + Earthbound only give a few points to Willpower when combined. You MIGHT want to use Soulbound simply for the magic resistance it comes with, and they do have cool names (which means my mage has dibs on keeping them in his inventory and not letting his companions use them because they'd just uncoolify them), but other than that... maybe, if you didn't have ANY other equipment boosting elemental damage, but then you'd just be a lousy mage period. Maybe if it was used in a Mage/Arcane Warrior/Spirit Warrior melee build? They do spirit damage with autoattacks, and doing a pile more with one ring seems like a decent enough plan... 173.164.183.245 07:59, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Arcane warrior auto attacks are physical damage, not arcane. A spirit warrior would not be able to wear those rings since they are labelled mage only. Theres only a few rings that boost spirit damage that a warrior can actually wear. Dreamsever being one of those rings. (Ooz 13:50, April 25, 2010 (UTC))

Consider Draining Aura's spirit damage and how a ring like this may be perfect for an arcane warrior tank for the resistances, as well as keeping threat.
