The ingame text doesn't specifiy, but do the Duelist Talents only apply to melee combat? I know that could be implied by the name of the spec and the icons all referring to melee weapons, but are these useless if I use a bow? Servius 04:54, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Not exactly. The Defense bonus doesn't care what you're wielding (I think). Upset Balance is a melee attack - I'm not sure if you can use it without a melee weapon equipped, like a rogue's kick to the nuts. Pinpoint Strike is 15 seconds of autocrit. This does work with ranged weapons, however it can only be activated with a melee weapon equipped. So you'd have to switch to melee, activate, and switch back to ranged. --DarkJeff 15:32, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Dexterity Requirement for Specialization Edit

Is there a hard number as to what is required to beat Isabela at Wicked Grace using the DEX stat? I have seen several different numbers and am curious if anyone knows for sure? My character has over the 22 DEX mentioned on the page. Is it a matter of the sequence of the game? Thanks in advance!-- (talk) 11:52, July 12, 2013 (UTC)

The DEX stat is used only for the option "<act>Try to catch Isabela's hand as she is drawing a card.</act>", and is described in the toolset as needing 'medium' dexterity to be successful. I can't find a script that defines that exactly. I've seen 'high' stat values given as 30 or higher (again, in the toolset), so I'd guess that 20 or above counts as 'medium'...but it is just a guess. -Sophia (talk) 14:29, July 14, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks,-Sophia! I think you're right. Tried it again last night and got DEX option to work. Seems almost like it does depend on how you roll it/probability...waiting to try the DEX option until the second round of the game for example. Tried it different ways and had different results. Thank you for checking the toolset and for the help. I will add the toolset note to the page, it may help others.-- (talk) 21:54, July 14, 2013 (UTC)
