Don't see Samael anywhere. There's two guys standing behind the hanging fish near the Spoiled Princess, but you can't seem to get to them.
You're too far to the left. Look in the middle of the large wooden structure to the right of the Mage's Collective Rep. Samael will be in the middle of the thing. Swk3000 (talk) 21:12, June 13, 2010 (UTC)
Ran into an interesting thing last night. Sammael's body and those of his guards are on the ground already dead, and Sammael's body has the loot sparkle, but he is unselectable. Eventually the bodies fade and disappear. I think I probably would have killed him when I came to the docks straight after Lothering, but don't particularly remember doing so. I do not have his Guild supplies. I suppose it is possible I killed him and forgot to pick up the supplies and that is the reason for this but it also happened the night I pulled down the first of the back to back XBL updates. Don't know if this is a bug so I thought I'd put it here in case anyone else ran into it. --220.127.116.11 (talk) 04:59, July 23, 2010 (UTC)GrunjMufn
Is it possible to avoid killing the deserters but still proceed with the Blackstone quests? Edit
It struck me as a little odd that all of the "deserters" were sad to engage the Grey Warden in combat, some even claimed I had no idea what was going on and indicated the party was doing Taoran's dirty work. Is it possible to not proceed with this quest until after the final leadership battle, siding with Raelnor, and then choose to not kill them in light of Taoran's demise - or is the completion of Dereliction of Duty a prerequisite for getting A Change in Leadership? From a story/dialogue point of view it makes more sense to me to let them live. Or maybe this is an option that was planned but not implemented? 18.104.22.168 (talk) 12:24, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
