What exaclty does this skill do defensively without the passive upgrades?

reaching maximim attack speed w/ precise striking

Edited the article because it is impossible to reach the maximum attack speed w/ momentum or haste on. Let's examine:

Beyond the veil, swift salve, blood thirst: +0.2 precise striking: -0.1 momentum: +0.3 haste: +0.25

The attack speed cap is -0.5. Going over that will result in attack speed overflow and therefore revert you to slow attack speed. With precise striking you'll be at -0.6. No combination of momentum or haste will bring that to 0 even by mixing it with blood thirst, beyond the veil or swift salve. Beyond the veil + swift salve + blood thirst gets that exaclty to 0 and therefore achieves the maximum attack speed. momentum + haste will be 0.05 short of the maximum attack speed. momentum + blood thirst/swift salve/beyond the veil or 2 hastes will be 0.10 short of the maximum attack speed. haste + blood thirst/swift salve/beyond the veil will be 0.15 short of the maximum attack speed.
