This mace always appears to have the messy kills "brand" (and of grey iron/tier 2 material) but only sometimes has "+2 damage vs. darkspawn." Just my imagination? If not, is it tied to class or difficulty? I've seen it before with +2, but this time around I went with a rogue. Hard difficulty. Definitely useful during the Korcari wilds and the tower of Ishtal sequence. SoyJuice 16:44, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

After a bit more testing, I'm pretty convinced that the enchantment is only applied for Rogue Wardens. If anybody else can disprove that, feel free (of course) to edit. SoyJuice 21:40, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

I am pretty certain items in DAO are not having different properties because of level or class (unlike item scaling which is influenced by level) though I made some testing myself to make sure that's the case. The page was edited slightly as well. 16:45, July 28, 2012 (UTC)

Acquisition

I have removed the paragraph where it says that it may also be given by Bhelen since it does not happen in both PC and PS3 versions. If that's untrue, please add it back but also add the conditions in which it is given. The current one (siding fully with Bhelen) does not seem to be right. 10:40, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Its true for the Xbox 360 and that means that it should be listed that you can get this from Bhelen on the 360 version. --2.123.171.17 (talk) 18:18, September 11, 2013 (UTC)

I’m playing the Ultimate Edition on PC and I received the mace and fully sided with Bhelen and sided against Branka. I have mods activated but none that effect rewards. TayMan001 (talk) 23:05, November 30, 2019 (UTC)
