The Tabris family is the hardscrabble elven family the City Elf is born into.

Background Edit

Though not noble or even well-known outside of the Alienage, its members often appear to have an unorthodox reputation as troublemakers or rebels yet also advocates for their kin, often lacking the same servile mien as most city elves. On the City Elf's mother's side the dagger Fang, or the Fang of Fen'Harel, is passed down as an ancestral blade dating to the time of the Exalted March upon the Dales, as is unusual martial training by Adaia in either the rogue or warrior style.

A Tabris Warden after the end of the Fifth Blight has the option to ask the ruler of Ferelden to treat his or her kin fairly for once as a royal boon in Dragon Age: Origins, as well as to become the first Bann of the alienage. Alternatively, Shianni, Soris, Cyrion or an unnamed other may be chosen as Bann, depending on the circumstances in which the game concludes.

Trivia Edit

• Tabris is also the name of the angel of free will and alternative solutions, and continues—with Mahariel—the trend of many elven surnames being angelic in origin. The exception to this would be Surana, which means "joyous" in Sanskrit.
