Shards in the Wastes is a collection in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Search for any shards scattered around the Hissing Wastes.
Acquisition
Obtained by interacting with any of the four oculara found in the Hissing Wastes.
Walkthrough
Interact with four oculara, and collect the eight shards revealed.
The ocularum are found in the following locations:
- The Cove, north-west of The Cove camp (2 shards)
- Sunstop Mountains, between the Mountain Fortress Camp and Tomb (3 shards)
- Sunstop Mountains, south-west of the Sunstop Mountain Camp and on a high west-facing ledge (1 shard)
- The Sand Crags, south-east of the Sand Crags camp and next to the Lonely Light landmark (2 shards).

Rewards
Collecting all eight shards yields:
- 500 Influence
Results
- Collecting shards enables the Inquisitor to complete the following five side quests in the Forbidden Oasis:
Shard Collector- The Fire Captured
The Cold Endured- The Spirit Calmed
- The Temple of Pride
- plus
- The Mystery of Winter in the Frostback Basin (requires Jaws of Hakkon DLC).
- In order to complete all of the listed quests, the Inquisitor must collect every shard in every relevant location (126 in total).
