Romances have been a recurring aspect of the Dragon Age game series. In Dragon Age: Origins, four companions are romantic possibilities, but only two of them – Zevran and Leliana – are romanceable by either gender. In Dragon Age II, five companions are romantic possibilities, and all but one of them are romanceable by either gender; the heterosexual male exception is part of a DLC.
