Protect the Inquisition's Reputation is a war table operation in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Acquisition Edit

Available upon reaching Skyhold. Availability depends on the ambassador chosen for the Deal with Relatives of the Trevelyans war table operation.

Operation text Edit

Dear Lady Montilyet,

There are scandalous rumors flying about Starkhaven, tales that paint the Inquisition as wicked usurpers and thieves. I suspect Lord/Lady Trevelyan's relatives, the ones we quieted before, are taking their petty vengeance.

There is a ringleader. Bann Dorner has taken care not to let any whisper be traced back to his household, but the man has a tongue as forked as an Orlesian bard's. If he could be made an example of, I believe the naysayers will fall silent.

Yours truly,
Lady Buttlefort

Advisor suggestions Edit

Josephine - 0:20:00 Edit

Bann Dorner sells his harvest to Antiva. If his taxes were mysteriously inflated, he'd have something to worry about besides us.

Leliana - 0:20:00 Edit

Bann Dorner has feuded with Starkhaven's royal family before. If we start rumors that he intends to begin again, he will be too busy managing that affair to poison ours.

Cullen - 0:16:00 Edit

These villains will never stop. I say we let them talk themselves to death.

Results Edit

Josephine Edit

Dear Lady Montilyet,

Bann Dorner has been rather cool the last few times I met him at dinner, but the attacks on the Inquisition's character have stopped. We even have a few converts impressed by our cause. I will let you know if trouble stirs again, but for now, Starkhaven is the very model of civility.

Yours truly,
Lady Buttlefort

Cullen Edit

Dear Lady Montilyet, Bann Dorner has become insufferably sly. The Inquisition is credited with no good deed without a repulsive motive attached to it. Our presence in this part of the Free Marches is so unwelcome. I feel I have no choice but to return to the capital and tend to my own estate's affairs.

Respectfully yours,
Lady Buttlefort
