Pick works for the army as a messenger, and, as such, runs around the whole camp, which can make him difficult to locate. The Warden can meet him near the Ash Warrior Leader, at Loghain's tent, King Cailan's tent, the Quartermaster and on a ridge near a praying Chantry priest, however he is missing from the whole of Ostagar during the twilight hours.

The Warden has several dialogue options upon speaking to him, notably an option where he/she can lie; if the Warden has sufficiently high Coercion (1 point should be enough), Pick can be persuaded to give the Ser Garlen's Sword. Pick may also be killed by the Warden if the latter fails the persuasion check and Pick asks him what he should tell the others about the missing sword.
