Ser Perth can first be found by the Windmill, along with three knights. As one of the Arl's knights he will fight against the Devouring corpses attacking Redcliffe Village, alongside The Warden and their party if they help defend Redcliffe.

If the Warden has found the oil in the General Store, Ser Perth can offer advice on how to use it. He also asks the Warden to ask Mother Hannah to provide the Maker's blessing for him and his knights. The Warden can tell Ser Perth that they are ready to make a stand; this will trigger the quest The Attack at Nightfall, a further step in A Village Under Siege.

Later, he can help the Warden fight the creatures attacking Redcliffe Castle. Assuming he survives, after helping retake Redcliffe Castle, he will be seen standing in the Hall of the castle right next to the exit.

If the Warden does not help Redcliffe, Ser Perth becomes a Walking corpse.

Quotes[]

  • "Ah, well. With a Grey Warden aiding our defense, perhaps all is not lost."

Notes[]

This section contains spoilers for:
Dragon Age: Origins.

  • There is a bit of a continuity error when talking with Ser Perth before the attack on Redcliffe. Early in the conversation he says he came back to Redcliffe because he had heard "strange rumors about the abandoned castle". Later on, when questioning him about the quest for the urn, he says, "I only returned myself because I was passing by Redcliffe and heard the news of strange attacks."
  • Ser Perth wears a suit of the rare Chevalier's Armor. The armor scales with the Warden's level and may appear either silver (Steel, Tier 3) or gold/bronze (Veridium, Tier 4) colored. He drops random pieces of the armor if killed in the battle (or by friendly fire).

Bugs[]

  • Initiating a conversation with Ser Perth while fighting Bann Teagan inside Redcliffe Castle causes him to repeat his earlier conversation.
