Excerpt from a journal found at a camp on the Storm Coast:
I still bear the scars of his anger, but the Blades care little of our pasts. As Trefir served his master, as Hessarian heard the Maker, the lowest and most lost may still find their way. We will be taken care of—we need only to have faith. That's what Ivor says, anyway.
