Monstrous spiders are massive relatives to Giant spiders. Immense in both power and size, these behemoth arachnids are not to be trifled with. Fortunately, these creatures are very rare.

Strategy[]
Like the Varterral, keep the monstrous spider distracted with your tank and healing as soon as it is needed. It's got weak armor so high physical damage and critical hits are very helpful. But be wary; once you lower a monstrous spider to 50% health, it'll summon smaller spiders.
Monstrous spiders have a weakness to electricity damage. Take advantage of this. Lightning-based spells along with their upgrades can hammer away at a monstrous spider's health bar.

Bugs[]
- A very easy way to beat the one you find at the deep roads (Act 1) is to simply run on top of the stairs that doesn't lead to the small room and press HOLD. The monstrous spider AI will become stuck trying to get onto the stairs, leaving only the trash mobs to beat. Then you could simply bombard the monstrous spider with ranged attack and magic until it dies.
