DAO sovereign

In the Dragon Age universe, gold, silver and copper denominations are used for currency. In Ferelden, the gold coins are called "sovereigns" (or "royals" in Orlais), the silver coins "silvers" ("crowns" in Orlais) copper coins "bits" ("pennies" in Orlais). Bits and silvers, with their lower worth, are the more common coins, where as the highly valuable sovereigns are rarer. One gold piece equals 100 silver pieces and one silver piece equals 100 copper pieces. Antiva also seems to have its own name for currency as Zevran claims he'd charge five thousand Andris for killing Alistair.[1] Dwarves were the first race to create coinage.[2]
