Notes Edit

  • On Hard and Nightmare difficulties, enemies have their Attack scaled to 150% and 200% of their Normal difficulty values, respectively. Combine this with the rank-based advantage Elites and Bosses have against the player's companions' Defense scores and Misdirection Hex ends up doing very little to reduce the number of times they get hit for full damage on higher difficulties.
  • Enemy Assassins do not inflict a "critical hit" with their backstab attacks, thus this spell does not prevent them from connecting (or otherwise negating the "critical damage", as there is none to apply in the first place).
  • Because of the layout of the Entropy tree, this spell is a soft prerequisite to upgrade Hex of Torment and Sleep; both upgrades require 5 points already invested in Entropy, but the most a player could get without this skill are Hex of Torment, Horror, Despair, and Sleep.
