Massacre in the Market is the second main quest in The Darkspawn Chronicles DLC for Dragon Age: Origins.

Walkthrough Edit

1. Enthrall the Shriek. You may need to execute one of your existing thralls to do it, but do not execute the Ogre, as you'll need it for the Ogre's Keeper achievement, for breaking down gates, and for killing the more difficult opponents.

2. Have your other party members hold position and stealth the Shriek. Use it to kill the nearby ballistae guards (completing the Sneak Past the Ballistae side quest), and then allow your party to move freely.

3. You now need to kill 10 civilians, and Bann Teagan (the human commander operating out of the Arl of Redcliffe's Estate in the SW, whose shield is useful for your Vanguard). His death completes the Kill Bann Teagan side quest.

4. Talk to the Genlock Sapper and lead him to the Alienage gate, which will complete the Blow the Gate side quest.

5. While killing the civilians for the Slaughter the Innocents side quest, you will receive a warning from the archdemon the guard is rearming. Run around Wade's Emporium to find Herren and Master Wade standing near many knights--these warriors are well equipped so bring your forces. Cornering the couple against the Chantry wall reveals some interesting facts about Herren, but otherwise is not necessary for your mission. Have the Sapper destroy the weapons, completing the Stop the Resupply side quest.

6. When approaching the Gnawed Noble Tavern you will run into Oghren and four drunks. He swings a Forge Master's Hammer, reclaim it for the Darkspawn. He also drops the Wine gift. Near the Wonders of Thedas and the Warehouse you will find another group of defenders, including a Circle Mage.

7.Slay the Healer side quest: Wynne guards the exit to the Alienage, but be careful as Knight-Commander Greagoir and Cullen will be with her.

8. Make sure that all side quests are complete before proceeding to the Elven Alienage, which completes the Rampage to the Alienage side quest and begins Raze the Alienage.
