Maren is a Dalish halla keeper.
Involvement

She is encountered in the Dalish Elf Origin in Dragon Age: Origins. She will talk with a Dalish elf Warden about halla.
In Dragon Age II, Maren is found in the Dalish camp in Sundermount. Although no conversation is possible, when walking through the camp Hawke might overhear her having a conversation with a hunter where she indicates that she blames herself for the death of the clan's halla.
During the quest, A New Path, if Hawke wasn't able to work out things peacefully with the hunters who went to seek for the Keeper, she will attack the party once they arrive at the camp, along with the others.
