Acquisition Edit

This item cannot be acquired via normal means in the game.

Notes Edit

• This item was supposed to be acquired by killing a Hurlock Alpha in the Korcari Wilds; however, he is currently bugged and does not drop the weapon when killed.

• This sword also appears in the list of Sacred Urn items in the toolset, but is not located in any containers or equipped by any enemy in the questline. It may be a trigger item for the rusty sword found by Dog, as the tag is different than that of the regular Magic Greatsword and its material is Red Steel.

Toolset Edit

How to fix the Magic Greatsword so it appears in your game:

1. This requires that you have downloaded the toolset.
2. Open the toolset and then open the single player module (File > Manage Modules > Single Player). Click the creatures tab. Scroll down until you see, "Prelude". Scroll down until you see "pre200ar_korcari_wilds." Open the folder.
3. Scroll down to "pre200cr_hurlock_alpha (Hurlock Alpha)." Right click this resource, and select "Open Local Copy". When the resource screen opens on the left, scroll down until you find inventory.
4. Click to open and select Magic Greatsword; you'll notice that "Droppable" is not checked. Click to checkmark "Droppable." Click Ok, and close the inventory screen.
5. Export without dependent resources.
6. Close the toolset (saving when prompted) and start up the game, load a save before Ostagar has been visited and travel there to claim your new prize.

Third Party Mod Edit

A simpler and quicker way to get this item, is to use an unofficial mod which allows you to add items with your desired material (tier) if you know their Developer Code. More about this can be found in this page.
