Baron Havard-Pierre d'Amortisan is an Orlesian noble known for studying the most bizarre beasts of Thedas.
Involvement
Havard-Pierre traveled with his scribe Dunwich to the Frostback Basin in search of the legendary Nox Morta. When Inquisition soldiers face delays setting up camps due to interference from the local wildlife, the baron is tasked with creating herb wards to keep the beasts away. The Inquisitor can find him at his camp just north of the Basin Floor Camp. While giving the Inquisitor the necessary wards, d'Amortisan also asks that they try and find his scribe, who has been absent for some time and whom he fears dead.
Once the wards have been placed and Dunwich found safe, the baron asks the Inquisitor to help him track the Nox Morta and prove its existence. If the Inquisitor agrees, they will eventually find that the beast is just an unusually large bogfisher.
