With each country or city-state that follows the Chantry, its authority and organization is overseen by a Grand Cleric. A grand cleric is second only to the Divine in the Chantry's authority, and it is from the ranks of the Grand Clerics that the next Divine is selected. A grand cleric is the one who can invoke the Right of Annulment. As with most positions in the Chantry, a grand cleric is always female. All grand clerics are addressed as "Your Grace."

• Mother Bronach of Ferelden. She is the predecessor of Elemena.
