The Golems of Amgarrak is a DLC for Dragon Age: Origins. It was originally announced by BioWare on July 28th, 2010 and was subsequently made available on August 10th at the cost of US$5. Players can import their Wardens from Origins or Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening or start a new level 20 character. It's also possible to unlock three reward items that show up in Origins and Awakening.
The Warden or the Warden-Commander has come to Orzammar at the request of Jerrik Dace. Jerrik’s brother, Brogan, led an expedition into the Deep Roads to find Amgarrak and the long-lost secrets of golem construction. The rediscovery of such a method would bring great wealth, power and prestige to House Dace, but the expedition has not returned and is now feared lost. Jerrik Dace, along with his trusty bronto, Snug, will be joining the Warden in the search for his missing brother. Players will find other unexpected companions as they continue on the journey and will need all the help that they can get.

Jerrik asks the Warden to search Amgarrak Thaig for the expedition his house sent to investigate the area. He, like his peers, is keen to salvage Amgarrak and use it to their advantage. Brogan convinces him to search for Darion, the leader of the failed expedition. Together with the Warden and his brother, Jerrik finds the remains of Darion as well as the final page of his diary, at which point Brogan begs him to destroy the Forge in the deepest part of Amgarrak to make sure that the experiments and subsequent mistakes within could not be repeated. Realizing the chaos that Amgarrak's research into Caridin's work has wrought, Jerrik reluctantly obliges, and then sets off to kill the Harvester, the creature responsible for the destruction of both the expedition and the thaig. However, in the ending it is revealed that the Harvester the Warden killed wasn't alone.

It is also possible to get all three level based achievements (Master of Arms, Archmage, and Shadow) by creating a character which will start at level 20. Then, remove all levels and re-add them by using the tome Memoirs of the First Wardens which the character starts with. These achievements will be awarded after leveling up. The same goes for any of the talent group focus achievements, e.g. Elementalist, Archery Master, etc.
