He will arrive in Skyhold in order to aid the Inquisition in construction matters and evaluate the structural integrity of existing buildings. Gatsi can also offer information in the mosaic tiles which can be discovered during the Inquisitor's travels. He believes the tiles to be Tevinter in origin, due to the tool markings and grain of the tiles. The material may have come from the Hundred Pillars, mysteriously engineered spires that look like stone but are actually a form of mortar.

- Once all five mosaics have been interpreted Gatsi will no longer be found standing inside the castle.
- Gatsi is adorned with facial tattoos which are usually found on casteless dwarves or Legionnaires.
- Gatsi shares the same last name with Kal-Sharok merchant Novas Sturhald which considering the House system of the dwarves it is likely that the two share the same ancestors.
