From the Living Wood is a Chanter's Board side quest received in the City of Amaranthine in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. The templars want samples of Ancient Sylvanwood from the Wending Wood, and the Chanter has offered a reward for the samples.

Locations of ancient sylvans
Ancient sylvans are found in the Wending Wood. Chop them down and collect five samples of their wood. Return them to the Chantry in the City of Amaranthine.
