Zevran and Alistair's faces?

I know this is old, old, OLD news to be discussing, but did anyone else feel displeased with the changes with these two characters' faces in the cameos in DA2? What happened? Alistair was in his early twenties, if I remember at the start of DA:O. It's been nine years, but he looks like he aged decades. I don't even know what happened with Zevran. There, of course, was the elf revamp, but he still looks utterly terrible. What really kills me is Zevran credits his attractiveness to his "high cheekbones" and yet his cheekbones are practically melting halfway down his face.
All this would be somewhat bearable and understandable, if it wasn't for the Leliana cameo. Did Leliana drink the blood of babies and virgins or something? She looks like she hasn't aged a day. In fact, she looks more attractive than she did in DA:O. {{User talk:DubiumInfiniti|talk]]) 09:36, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
- In Zevran's case, I blame AIDS. In Alistair's case, I blame stress. In Leliana's case, I blame... I don't know, the Sacred Ashes maybe? Believe it! (talk) 16:04, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
In Alistair's defence I thought he looked fine, just abit Gaunt, if you want an excuse blame the fact he's a warden with Darkspawn blood in his veins Zachariah Zuan (talk) 18:36, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
I had a go at making my own which took about 5 minutes in the character creator, and I don't think is that bad (even if it is a bit rushed and amateurish). I'm a bit puzzled as to why they didn't spend more time on Zev and Alistair.

That's a bit how I felt, too. I noticed quite a few Alistair clones walking around Kirkwall. Goes to show how truly lazy they were.
In a lot of ways, their efforts with DA2 just seemed woefully inadequate. This being one of them.
I'm sincerely hoping they don't keep them this way and improve their appearances somewhat.

Zevran can only be explained by Bioware's retcon of how the elves looked. Yeah, in theory, great idea. In practise. No. Just no. Alistair, however, is a bit trickier to explain, or rather has three reasons to explain why he looks so different. Drunken!Alistair, well, he's been drinking hard for several years at the point you meet him. That much heavy drinking really does change a person, the nose becomes bulbous, the eyes look incredibly tired and the face becomes puffy and bloated. Grey Warden!Alistair, that's the tainted blood in him and the near proximity to the Archdemon during the battle of Denerim. (It also helps to explain the other two). Meanwhile, King!Alistair...I still maintain he has eaten half the cheese in Denerim.--Madasamadthing (talk) 16:15, August 18, 2012 (UTC)
