I was wondering how do you guys make your Hawke and Warden and how are you going to make you inquisitor like? (I understand most of you will have multiple different playthroughs but just in general what are they like.)--96.39.206.7 (talk) 06:37, August 16, 2014 (UTC)

The Warden: Male Rogue Common Dwarf, played the field romantically with a lot of characters but didn't end up with any of them. Did the Dark Ritual

The Champion: Female Warrior, ended up with Fenris but kind of regretted that. Sided with the mages

The Inquisitor: Male Mage Elf, hoping to end up with Dorian. If there's an option it'll be interesting if you have an option between siding with the Elder God or become The Herald of Andraste--The Dwarven Smithy (talk) 11:54, August 16, 2014 (UTC)

The Warden: Well I have a couple of saves, my female warrior noble human, although raised well, became bitter and decisive after her family was murdered. She also took any opportunity to regain power and influence, however she tied to do the right thing, so long it didn't hinder her. She saved the circle, saved Connor and Arl Eamon with the circle's help, recover the anvil of the void, placed Bhelen on the throne and cured the elves and werewolf's of the curse. She took the throne with Alistair with a political marriage but kept Leliana as a lover. She also forced Alistair to take part in the Dark Ritual.

My second character is a male, elven mage. Disliking the circle, happily becoming a Gray Warden to escape. He valued power and quickly took to blood magic. Due to his romance with Morrigan, he was heavily influenced by her. He sided with the Templar's, refuse to save Redcliff and let Isolde kill Connor. Killed the Werewolves, recover the anvil of the void, placed Bhelen on the throne. He placed Alistair and Anora on the throne. He took part in the Dark Ritual and left the world with Morrigan through the Eluvian.

Hawke: Female Blood Mage, who joked about everything, but placed her family's safety above everything. She always tired to help her fellow mages. She was romantically involved with everyone, ended up with Merrill. Sadly with Hawke the only decision that seems to make a difference is if you help the mages or the Templars.

The Inquisitor: Female Mage Qunari, As a Qunari she was discriminated by all, the other races for being and Qunari for not following the Qun. As a mage, people fear her and often try to report/capture/kill her. Not sure for romance yet. Going to do whatever it takes to survive. TommyD93 (talk) 13:52, August 16, 2014 (UTC)

For the Hero, it all depends on the origin. My primary character is a Cousland, so I made him to be a man of honor and integrity. He's also a devout Andrastian, as that is most likely how his parents raised him as well as Fergus. So for the Cousland it's pretty narrow, going off of what the storyline allows. Another example is him being able to say that he goes to his grandfather's study a lot to read books. So that make him intelligent. His favorite book is about dragons and the magic surrounding them, NOT the banned book about alternative "preferences". So that establishes him as a man of knowledge AND morality. His setting up a date with Iona marks him as seeking female companionship but also remaining abstinent until marriage. It also shows he holds no prejudice for elves. His interaction with Nan (the cook), shows he listens to and respects his elders. His ability to see an error in Howe's story shows he was intuitive and cunning. And so forth. How I made him look was actually a complete accident. I just went with what I thought looked decent, and it just so happened that he came to look like Bryce and Eleanor, having the same features. The one liberty that I really took was in fighting style. He is a dual weapon warrior, which shows he didn't take much interest in traditional styles like sword and shield, and instead took his own path.

My second character is a male mage, and with that origin there are far more liberties that can be taken. My Amell was pretty much the opposite of my Cousland. He values power, influence, wealth, etc. He considers himself a true Lucrosian in all things. He holds only to self-interest, and only does for others when he expects to gain something from it later. The opposite of this character is my female Surana character. An elf, and yet a Chantry zealot. She prides herself as an anti-mage, and aspires to join with Templars in destroying apostates. So the Circle has almost a completely blank canvas.

I also plan on making a City Elf soon who will have an understandable hatred of humans. He will seek a better life for himself and his people. I plan to play every origin eventually.

As for Hawke, I read ahead on DA2, and saw that Hawke's actions really have little importance in the end. So I plan to make a Champion who tries her best, but just doesn't have it in her to lead others or solve the world's problems. That way, the outcome will seem like the natural result of her indecisiveness. She will be skilled in other ways and excel in those areas, but it just won't be enough in most cases presented in DA2. Also, the idea of making her female is to make it so Anders doesn't seem so... let's say... "out of character". Also, when a woman fails at something, she's generally treated gently. Like, "poor gal, but at least she tried", whereas with a man most people feel, "HA! What a freakin' loser!" My Champion will also be a rogue archer, which will also explain why she isn't that good at leadership roles. She used to being on her own, and hunting game for food and fur, not leading others or ruling over cities. So I plan to go into DA2 with low but reasonable expectations. Her being an archer will also give her something in common with my Hero if they ever meet. While not an archer himself, my Cousland is accurate with a bow thanks to his dual weapon dexterity. Also, his wife Anora is an accomplished archer. So it kind of fits an overall narrative.

Lastly, my Inquisitor is something I have been planning very carefully. He will be a male human mage, though I have not decided skin color yet. I will have to look at his family's background first. I pick mage because my Cousland is a warrior, my Hawke is a rogue, and so it makes sense to have my Inquisitor be a mage. Another reason is because the trailers show the Inquisitor getting man-handled at times. That would make a warrior seem pretty weak. But as a mage, it's more understandable. Mages train their minds and will, not their bodies. So as a mage, my Inquisitor will be able to show strength of will so he can lead, battle prowess through powerful magic, yet he can still be knocked down physically. So that will fit the storyline. Also, I planned on having a mage for the game after DA2 years ago. When I played Awakening and Witch Hunt I was able to determine that tears in the Veil would be a main plot element in the game following DA2, and it makes sense for mages to be able to seal those tears. So I was ahead of the game on that, and this is another reason for the mage Inquisitor. His knowledge and power over the Fade will make sense along with his newfound power of sealing the breaches than is the case with a warrior or rogue who would just seem to be completely in the dark about how their power seals a breach.

As far as personality goes, that depends somewhat on the family origin. According to some news, the human mage will be from a noble family, though he will be a mage of a circle. Similar to the Amell. So it depends on his level of contact with his family, as well as the conditions of the Circle he has been living in for however many years. In general, I think of him as a whatever it takes... within reason sort of character. He has no set belief. He merely seeks truth for now.

So, my canon timeline goes like this:

Noxi Amell - a talented human female circle mage, somewhat ostracized back in the day for being a... well, nerd. She was a very kind and generous person, willing to help anyone who made puppy eyes leading her to be naive in many situations. Fell in love with Alistair, but he broke her heart and when Morrigan, her best friend from the group, told her about the Dark ritual, she grudgingly agreed - all this turned her to a bitter person, so by the time she became the Warden-commander, she even had Nathaniel executed for back-talking. However, she eventually accepted her role as the Warden-commander as an honorable duty rather than Ferelden's way to remove her from the spotlight, living in the shadows of the ever magnificent king Alistair, becoming more of her old self.

Yvonne Hawke - a female mage apostate. She was taught by her father to make the best of her curse of magic, but Malcolm's moments of regrets of leaving the circle and remorse his children have to be on the run left a mark on Yvonne, to a point she wanted to see all the other mages locked up in a circle for their own good. She was a sarcastic person, who rarely gave a straight answer and outside of mage/templar issues never took sides. Being a freedom pursuing personality who flirted with about everybody, she got together with Isabela. During the final showdown, she sided with the mages however, and sort of against her will became a rallying cry for the mages of Thedas.

Ortan (Cadash?) - a male surface dwarf warrior inquisitor. Not knowing what his background will be yet, I do know he's going to be a very militant person who thinks he's the only one who can save Thedas and that is by force. Not accepting any views but his own, he comes across as arrogant, mean and generally hard kind of person. He does however have a soft spot for good craftsmen and fighters, especially if they're willing to join his cause, and will go great lenghts to protect them, or at least respect them if they stand against him, provided they're exceptionally good in their craft and show an equal ammount of respect. Being interested in the philosophy of the Qun, he believes he's been destined to lead and win by any means necessary. --DrDemagor (talk) 14:06, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

Aedan Cousland, Warrior: He wanted to be a fearless soldier who fought for glory, after the death of his parents he finally knew what actual war was about and it left him feeling stoic, even blood thirsty in the heat of battle. by the time DA:O was over and DR:O-A had begun. Recruited all possible companions, 100% friendship with all of them, Alistair slayed Loghain and took the throne by himself, (hardened BTW) a hardened Leliana killed Marjolene and accepted who she is, Wynne found her apprentice and made peace with him, Sten found his sword and showed respect to the Warden despite conflict arising in Haven, Zevran finally ended up facing the crows with the Warden and his allies by his side, Oghren found Felsi and rekindled the flames to that relationship, Shale found out who she was and admitted as much as showing respect to my Warden. Saved Conor and Arl Eamon, rid the Circle of demons, destroyed the anvil and defeated Zathrian to free the wolves. Ended up with Morrigan, did the dark ritual and went through the Eluvian with her.

Garret Hawke, Rogue: He was diplomatic during the first act, believing everything could be solved without coming to violence at first. This turned to sarcasm as an attempt for him to find humor in everything unraveling in front of him, until the death of his mother happened. By that time and onward he became very aggressive. Recruited all possible companions, had a soft spot for mages due to his sister Bethany, who became a Grey Warden. Slayed the Arishok in one on one combat despite earning his respect, spared Anders so he could see the damage he caused losing Sebastian by doing so, sided with the mages and romanced Isabela.

Haven't decided what I'm going to do yet in DA:I.

--NwolC (talk)

Theron Mahariel: A young Dalish Rogue, he did not receive his Vallaslin before he was recruited into the Grey Wardens as he was a horrible hunter (but an excellent marksman, he just never grasped the concept of "stealth") and refused to try any other avenue of work. He is initially resentful of Duncan and the other Grey Wardens but after Ostagar sees the importance of what they do and dedicates himself fully to their cause. He forms a strong friendship with Wynne, Alistair, Shale, Dog, and Leliana (though their relationship started out a bit rocky) and is on friendly enough terms with everyone else. He fell in love with Morrigan, but their relationship was rough at times. At the end of the Dalish questline he finally recieved his vallaslin from the new Keeper Lanaya and also learned from Zathrian before he died that his mother had in fact been a human hunter that had befriended his clan and fallen in love with his father and that Marethari had preformed a spell on him when he was still a newborn after his mother vanished that altered his appearance so that they could keep him. This causes him to have a bit of an identity crisis for a time but eventually he decides (after some wise words from Leliana) that he is Dalish, no matter if he is half-human. He personally executes Loghain and makes Alistair King alongside Anora. He goes through with the Dark Ritual and slays the Archdemon. After the events of Awakening, where he spared the Architect and saved Amaranthine with Velanna, Sigrun, and Justice with Vigil's Keep fully upgraded, Theron leaves to find Morrigan and leaves with her through the Eluvian.

Malcolm Hawke Jr.: An apostate Mage, Hawke likes the idea of the Circle but dislikes the implementation. He is fiercely protective of his family, and thus is greatly affected by Bethany and Leandra's deaths and Carver joining the Grey Wardens. He is usually quite sarcastic and snarky, but knows how to be serious when the situation calls for it. He views all of the companions as his extended family and would do anything for them. He and Fenris often disagree when it comes to mages but would ultimately die for each other. He and Varric are best friends and Hawke often tries to get involved in telling tale tales (with hilariously disastrous results). He views Merril as a surrogate sister and adores her, even though he doesn't agree with the blood magic and is quite protective of her. He often makes fun of Carver but really does love and respect him and supports his feelings for Merril (though he'd never openly admit it). He and Sebastian are good friends, even though Hawke isn't the most devout Andrastian and supports him reclaiming Starkhaven. Hawke initially had a crush on Aveline but let it go upon seeing how happy she was with Donnic, their relationship eventually evolving into a more brother/sister dynamic. He gets together with Isabela on the rebound and starts to develop genuine feelings for her by the time everything with the Qunari goes to hell. Hawke fights the Arishock to save Isabela and is forced to use blood magic to defeat him after he is critically wounded. Hawke, a firm believer in his father's motto, that "Magic will serve that which is best in me, not that which is most base" has a crisis of faith, though after a deep conversation with Elthina vows to never again dip into blood magic. He also contemplates his feelings for Isabela during her time away from Kirkwall and decides that he loves her. Hawke and Anders start out as good friends but grow further and further apart as Anders grows more and more obsessed with the Mage/Templar conflict. Hawke eventually realizes that his initial encouragement of Anders' cause has backfired horribly and when Anders blows up the Chantry he executes him with a heavy heart. Hawke ultimately chooses to side with the mages and fights Meredith with all of his companions (minus Anders), killing her and fleeing Kirkwall in Isabela's ship.

The Inquisitor: I'm not planning on assigning any personality or backstory to my Inquisitor until I play the game. That said they will be most likely either a human male or a qunari female warrior who romances Cassandra (if male), Cullen (if female), or Iron Bull (either). --173.79.215.132 (talk) 16:27, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

My warden was a male human mage named Gidioen Amell who while dipping into blood magic often, was basically a good person as well as a spirit healer bonded with a spirit of honour compelling him to always do what's right. He saved the circle, saved Redcliffe and the Arl and his family apon finding Jowain he freed his old friend but told him he never wanted to see him again, cured the werewolves and convinced Zathrein his hate had gone on long enough, wanted to support Harrowmont but saw Behlen would be better for Orzimmar, killed Branka and destroyed the anvil. Was friends with all companions especially Alistair Ohgrin and Sten. Treated Wyene as respected teacher and mentor, became a loyal friend to Leliana but did not pursue a romance with her, spared Zeveran and later helped him take over the Antiven Crows. Fell in love with Morrigan despite disagreements about the Maker existing (growing up in tower made him deeply religious). Made hardened Alistair king of Feralden along with Anora. When presented with opportunity took part in dark ritual vowing to find his love after battle. Did events of golems of arrmaggarak, in Awakenig got all party members to 100% friendliness and made Ohgrin better family man, left Ohgrin Nathaniel and Anders to protect fully upgraded Vigils Keep. Sided with Achitect with hopes to spare future generations the need for wardens. In Witch Hunt My warden and his faithful dog Prometheus arched for the love of his life and entered the Eluvian with her.

Maria Hawke was a often sarcastic flirt of a rouge who always strove to do what was right, she was devastated by the loss of her brother Carver's death and blamed herself for his stupidity as she hade ofthen shown off her cleverness growing up. She and Bethany joined up with the mercenaries because Maria had a strict moral code forbidding her from murder and stealing. During the Deep roads expedition she took Varic (her best friend) Anders, and her sister unwittingly dooming Bethany to a life as a Gray Warden. This event scared Maria because she had yet again failed to protect those she loved most. During act 2 she gained the respect of the Arishok with her skill and uncommon honour, she pursued a relationship with the mage Anders partially out of gratitude for saving Bethany' s life and partially because of his tortured soul and his fight to rein in Justice/Vengence's fury. When she found out her mother had been kidnapped she set off alone to find Leandra...when she discovered what had happened mercilessly killed the man responsible for her mother's death then sinking into a deep depression at having failed yet another person she loved. It took all of her companions' reassurances and support to get Maria back on her feet and ready to get back in action. First she helped Merrill gain what she needed to fix her mirror, then she helped Fennris kill Hadriana (hiring the former elf slave in the process), after that it was off to find Bartrend who was placed in a sanitarium when Anders reviled what happens to him, she also helped Aviline get together with Donnic, finishing with helping Anders investigating the tranquil solution convincing him not to kill the mage girl. At the end of act 2 Isabella came back to help her friend. Forcing the champion the fight the Arishok in single combat to keep Isabella safe. And by Act 3 all know that the Champion supports peace between Mages and Templars, She does all of her companions quests gaining their unwavering loyalty and (in Anders's case love) when Meredith calls for the annulment of the circle the champion side with the mages and convinces Seabastion and Fennris to do the same. She felt betrayed by Anders for missing her to destroy the chantry but can't bring herself to kill him so she tells him she never wants to see him again. At the final battle Maria Hawke is joined by her best friend Varic, her loyal friend Merrill, and her sister Bethany.

My Inquisitor is a male human mage named Daniel Treyvelian who will rule with a firm but just and kind hand and will likely end up with the Iron Bull or Josephine. -Dumant's Faithful.

My Grey Warden is a Male Rough Dalish Elf by the Name of Bellthon Mahariel, Bell for short. He is firm and has a good heart but strict when he needs to be. He did not wish to be a grey warden in fact he hates it (its also a consent reminder of his failure to protect his best friend Tamlen life) but he learns there are bigger things at stake then his life and happiness. He is smart and a tactician on the battle field and always trying to find the back way in. He fell in love with Morrigan a wanderer of the woods just like him. He put Alister and Anora on the throne and went threw the mirror with Morrigan.

My Hawk is a female Mage by the name of Silvia. She is loud and sarcastic more then she should be at times. She likes to run head long into danger bashing strait threw the front door. She love's adventuring especially if it involves getting gold at the end. She shows no mercy to those that harm her family and friends. Her odd way of getting things done has worked for her but perhaps in her rashness it may be what cases her sister and mother's death a thought she may never be able to get rid of. She is a lesbian and falls in love with Isabella tho tends to flirt with other girls form time to time. She sided with the Mages of course but could not bring her self to kill her friend Anders there had been enough death in her life but she told him to run away and never come back.

My Inquisitor will be Vanath Cadash, Van for short. I will have to wait tell the game comes out to see what options they give me for the character but my thought is he has more of criminal background being part of the Carta and wants nothing more then to go to work get paid go home and be left alone he is very rude an cares nothing of the wars going on. Tho he his different then most in his line of work in that he some times cant help but help others that are in danger and it gets him into trouble with his line of work, tho he is the best fighter in the Carta and at the end of the day he usually gets the work done. I think I will have him romance Cassandra.--Jdgjordan (talk) 15:52, August 29, 2014 (UTC)

My main Warden and Hawke are mages and very angry at the world and it's people. They make everything in their power to make the world worse for everyone. I like it that way. My Inquisitor would be same as my Warden and Hawke appearence and all. Did you miss me?--Jak Darckner (talk) 19:31, August 29, 2014 (UTC)Darkcner

My default Warden is a female warrior human noble, named Rose Cousland (she's my avatar). She romanced Alistair, became his queen and was honourable and kind to others, always trying to find the best outcome to a situation. She sided with the mages, saved Irving, protected Redcliffe, freed Connor from the demon, had the mages help so Isolde didn't die, made Harrowmont king, lifted the werewolf curse and even didn't kill Ser Cauthrien. Did the Dark Ritual so Rose is alive, though I like to think Alistair did it without her knowledge to save her from dying. She killed the Archdemon, saved Amaranthine and killed the Architect. Lastly she allowed her friend Morrigan to pass through the Eluvian.

My default Hawke is a male sarcastic mage, named Garrett (default). He romanced Isabela and, like my Warden, always tried to find the best outcome to a situation. He killed the Arishok to save his love, sided with the mages and spared Anders. Carver became a templar but sided with his brother in the end. Garrett helped both Larius in Legacy and Tallis in MoTA.

My default Inquisitor will be a female qunari rouge who will romance Iron Bull. Haven't thought of a name yet. Originally was going to go for a female dwarf called Scaea Cadash but changed my mind since Varric isn't a romance option. I plan to make a similar first play-through to my previous characters, so will try to get the best good result in the end. Not sure about personality yet, honourable or sarcastic. Xsari (talk) 21:15, August 29, 2014 (GMT)

Joshuah Amell--A fire/lighting/entropy human mage. He's not a very outgoing person at first, but can be good company if he chooses to be. He has always treated the Chantry and the Circle with scorn, but still holds respect for some of it's members. He always felt his powers can be put to good use in the outside world, to prove that not all mages are bad. So when the Grey Wardens recruited him to the order, it was a dream come true. Only it turned out to be something of a nightmare, when the battle at Ostagar was lost, and the true price to be a Warden was revealed. Still, he did the best he could, always striving to do good and provide aid to the common/nobility folk whenever they needed it. That's not to say he's perfect though. While Joshuah expressed interest in Leliana and their relationship blossomed into a full romance, his lust for Morrigan overwhelmed him one night and was soon caught between two beautiful women: the sweet/romantic Leliana or the sultry/exotic Morrigan? He chose Leliana but although the crisis was averted, there will no doubt be consequences when/if Leliana finds out about the OGB and the Dark Ritual. He also dabbled in the forbidden arts of blood magic, but is wise to understand that with power comes responsibility. He never sacrifices the blood of others, only himself.(though the irony is I used Alistair to heal myself from time to time) His companions look up to him with respect as a leader, friend, or lover.

Darren Hawke--A dual-wielding rogue. He loves to crack jokes/one-liners and make others laugh, but knows when to act serious and professional. He and Carver were mischievous souls when they were younger, always adventuring and getting into trouble, sometimes dragging poor Bethany along. When Malcolm died, Darren had to step up and become the man of the house. He got a job working for Old Barlin and a few other odd jobs around Lothering until he got a big break as a caravan guard heading to Denerim. He learned quite a few skills during this journey and returned with a hefty amount of coin to support the family. In the years between their father's death and the Blight, Darren's relationship with Bethany grew, eventually becoming best friends with her. Conversely, Carver's relationship diminished as he began alienating himself more and more. Darren does not blame himself for Carver's death, but will always wonder how things would be different had they both fought the Ogre. During his time in Kirkwall, Darren and his merry band of misfits became like an extended family, always hanging out in The Hanged Man playing Wicked Grace, Diamond Back, etc. He always cared to hear out everyone's stories and opinions even if it conflicted with his own. He isn't exacly a devout Andrastian but doesn't hate the Chantry like my Warden. He's generally sympathetic towards mages and less so for templars especially after they locked Bethany up, so he had to side with the Mages. He has mixed feelings toward Qunari. Never romanced anyone but he did flirt a little with Tallis. He ended that after he found out she was Qunari and lied about the whole thing. Darren mastered the art of free-running and parkour on the roofs of Hightown, and knows the sewers of the Undercity like the back of his hand from his time working with Athenril. Even Bethany picked up a trick or two while trying to keep up with him, as evident by Varric's comment in MoTA. In short, I like to think of my Hawke as someone who would fit right in the Assassin's Creed universe.

My Inquisitor will probably be a male Qunari warrior first time around, then a female human mage or rogue. Haven't decided on a canon yet.--142.196.246.171 (talk) 00:41, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

My Warden was a Dalish Male Rogue, named Abélath. He would dual-wield two longswords and use a bow when he felt the need, specializing as a Duelist, Shadow and Assassin. He would always be seen wearing a full set of Ancient Elven armour, besides the helm. He had black, wavy hair and blue eyes, a scar on his face that he got from one of the wolves of the Brecilian forest, and tattooed with the same Vallaslin as his foster mother, Ashalle. His name is a portmanteau of the Elven words "abelas" and "lath", meaning "love sorrow", and was chosen for him by Ashalle after what happened to his parents. He would always fight to make the world a better place, and was proud to become a Grey Warden. He recruited every companion, and developed a strong friendship with each one of them, especially with Morrigan in particular, though she would struggle with his tendency for self sacrifice for the benefit of others. Many times he would be questioned on the amount of effort he would put in to helping others with no hope of reward, and he would always persuade his companions into sharing his point of view, with those not understanding learning to appreciate it for themselves when they would require his help. Morrigan is of special note, having needed him in dealing with Flemeth, in which he did everything in his power to protect her. Afterwards, Morrigan was at a loss that she could develop such a friendship with him, and that confusion led to their friendship to develop into love, to the point where she would tell him that their love was making them weak, and he would insist that it made them stronger. He saved the Circle of Magi, crowned Bhelen, destroyed the Anvil of the Void, cured the werewolves of their curse, rescued everyone in Redcliffe, slew the risen Andraste and allowed for the Urn of Sacred Ashes to be revealed. During the Landsmeet, he saved the city elves from slavery, executed Loghain himself, and arranged for Alistair and Anora to rule Ferelden together. On the eve of the final battle, it was Morrigan's turn to bring him around to her point of view. Telling him she would not allow him to sacrifice himself, as he was prepared to do, she told him of her plan. Trusting in her, loving her, he made the decision to perform the Dark Ritual with her. He slew the Archdemon, and proclaimed as Ferelden's hero. During the coronation, he chose the boon of becoming the Teyrn of Gwaren, having learned from Morrigan that acquiring power is important, and he would need all he could get in order to locate her, which became his main priority. Over the following years he would search for her, never removing her ring from his finger. During that time becoming the Commander of the Grey. In Amaranthine, he continued to do his best to make the world a better place, though his perspective had changed somewhat. He saved the city, Vigil's Keep being strong enough to stand on it's own, and spared the Architect. He went on to search the Amgarrak Thaig, and eventually learned of a sighting of Morrigan. Finally having a lead, he met Ariane at Flemeth's hut, and learned of Morrigan's theft of a Dalish book. Traveling to the Circle of Magi, he met Finn and learned that what she was trying to find was an Eluvian, the very object that started him on his journey. Tracking her down to the Dragonbone Wastes, he told her that he couldn't let it end between them, that he loves her, wants to see their child and needs answers, many of the ones he received confusing him. Reunited at last, Morrigan, though conflicted and confused that he would track her down, was truly happy that he had found her, seeing that he still had the ring and truly loved her. Telling her he was sure he wanted to be with her, they entered the Eluvian together to be with their son, leaving Thedas behind.

That's my canon Warden, the way everything connects in his story feels really special to me, he's my most sentimental Warden. :) My canon Hawke means nothing near as much sadly, so I won't be describing it in near as much detail, more just a summary of his basic character, but nevertheless here it is:

My Hawke was a Male Rogue named Daniel (after myself). He would always be diplomatic/peaceful in conversations, and do his best to help others. He romanced Fenris and sided with the Mages, though I may change his romance to be Merrill in the Keep. I think I like Fenris more as a character, but I like the connection to my Dalish Warden that Merill would give my Hawke, as well as her connection to an Eluvian, which makes a very interesting parallel with how they both could have disappeared. He sided with the Mages.

I've got extremely optimistic hopes and aspirations for both Inquisition and my Inquisitor, I really hope the game will be as good if not better than Origins and that my Inquisitor will mean as much to me as Abélath does. I'm going to be playing a Male Elven Rogue, named Zeldan, his name being a more masculine version of the name Zelda. I've chosen this name for a few reasons: 1. I really like the Legend of Zelda series, Zelda is an awesome name and both Zelda and Link look quite elven, so I like that "link". :P 2. I like the assonance and rhyme of the name "Zeldan Lavellan", it sounds really cool I think. :D 3. I looked up the meaning of the name Zelda, and it couldn't be any more fitting. "Zelda is a nickname for the feminine name Griselda, which may originally have meant "dark battle", and also the feminine form of the yiddish name Selig, meaning "blessed", "happy"." Dark battle, blessed, perfect for the events of Inquisition! Happy? That fits how he's going to be, like a light in the rising darkness. His personality is going to be much like Abélath and Daniel, doing his best to make the world better, an optimist during a time of despair. I'm going to do my best to have him get along as much as possible with all of the companions. I don't know who he'll end up romancing, but it could be anyone that is available to him. I'm mostly leaning towards Cassandra, then Dorian, then the Iron Bull and then finally Josephine, leaning towards Vivienne just as much as Dorian if she is a love interest, and then it all depends on if any of them is race gated and what I think of them in game. Will only be properly decided once I've met all of the characters with Zeldan.

That's what my Warden and Hawke was like, and what my Inquisitor will be like. :) Abélath (talk) 05:28, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Warden: My Warden was a Dalish elf who tried his best to keep the peace between humans and elves. He cured the werewolves, sided with the mages, helped Harrowmont, but made Bhelen king, cured Connor with the help of the mages, Killed the cultists and did not destroy the Urn. Romanced Morrigan and did the Dark Ritual, and made a hardened Alistair king with Anora. Basically he did all the "good" choices.

Hawke: Sided with Mages. Romanced Merrill. Otherwise mostly the same as the Warden. He was a "good" guy.

Inquisitor: He will be an Elf who is just like my Warden. No prejudice, kind and caring. Once again a "good" guy.

I love being a hero, to me that is the most fun way to play. I always, no matter what, try to do my best by others. LilFlame2001 (talk) 21:34, August 31, 2014 (UTC)

Warden: A Cousland Knight, he was well read, was a man of honor and a diplomatic, he wanted to fight with his family in the front lines but fate had it otherwise. He was flirt and managed to fall in love with Morrigan, did the dark ritual with her and had a child together, he even with her through the Elivian. He put a hardened Alistar in the throne and saved Amaranthine but allowed the Architect to live. I like tot hink everyone thought of him as the most honorable Warden ever.

Hawke: he was mage that had a great sense of humor, he was a man trying to get by who got pulled into bad situations and did the best he could. He felt in love with Isabela and did all he could to save the mages even if they did all the bad things. His brother became a Warden.

Inquisitor: he is gonna be a Human Rogue or Two Handed weapon I think. About his personality he might be a hard ass and he is totally gonna fall in love with Cassandra. --Dave The Maniac (talk) 14:02, September 1, 2014 (UTC)

i have multiple playthroughs and save files imported till da2 but my canon warden is a goodie two shoes solona amell who sided with the mages. she likes helping people and saving kittens even if it means diving in a horde of darkspawn. she shaves her head regularly because hair annoys her, and she thinks that its hip. she did all the good choices and has a knack for making everyone like her, even morrigan, whom at first despises her sunshiney-rainbow aura. she hooked up with alistair, lelianna admitted that she had a crush on her and got upset at first when she found out she's with alistair(although i'm pretty sure i never triggered a romance with her) but she's all cool after that. she let alistair did the ritual w/ morrigan(w/c got awkward after that) chose anora to rule fereldan and killed the architect. she bid farewell to morrigan when she went in the magic mirror thingy.

my cannon hawke is a super bitch-taculous rogue who brings the blight itself to everyone she ever met . everyone may hate her guts but she always does what is best for her family and for kirkwall. she always believed that mages are dangerous and should be put in order, therefore she sided with the templars, and became viscount. bethany went into the circle, merill never fixed the eluvian, aveline didnt hook up with donnic, isabella returned the relic, killed anders before he blew up the chantry and everyone is in rivalry except for fenris, who's neither friendly. a forever alone, she never bothered to find love, because she thinks it makes her soft, w/c she hates.

my cannon inquisitor would probably be a sarcastic two handed, american accent, female dwarf who can be fun loving and serious at the same time. not sure who'd she romance, at first i was wishing it could be varric but since he's not an li (so i read) id probably go with iron bull, i can imagine they'll be getting along pretty well.--Cookiecousland (talk) 17:33, September 1, 2014 (UTC)

Im the one who started this forum and my Warden was a male rogue human noble named Gilan who sympathized with mages but knew that they still held blame for their actions. He thought that their must be some middle ground between mages and templars. He put bhelen on the throne because he was a good leader but hated him for being a tyrant, he saved the mages, lifted the werewolf curse, and completed all companions quests. He also romanced morrigan and did the dark ritual. in awakening he killed the architect recruited everyone and fully upgraded while saving amaranthine.

My Hawke was a male (even though in the keep im going to make it a female) mage named who romanced Isabela, had the same viewpoint as my warden, liking the idea of the circle (a place to practice and study magic in safety) but hates the fact thats its really a prettied up prison. Both of them, Hawke and warden, absolutely hat maleficar, and both of them are overall sarcastic and charming, flirting with just about everyone, and sided with the mages. he also sided with lanarius and romanced tallis alongside isabela.

My first inquisitor will be human or qunari, male either mage or rogue probably named Xerxes or Aedan (still deciding) who romances either cassandra or scribbles (yes i know thats not her real name but i dont know how to spell it) who's overall similar to the other two, looks up to the Warden and will be sarcastic and charming. Also all of them fell that the chantry started as loyal andrastians but are now simply power hungry zealots who want to control everything, they also think that everyone deserves the makers love not just a few.--96.39.206.7 (talk) 19:28, September 1, 2014 (UTC)

My canon warden was a male human noble who was, most of the time, reasonable, but had a streak of power hunger in him. He married Anora and had Alistair exiled. Loghain did the dark ritual and remained alive. I can't remember his every decicion anymore, but he sided with the werewolves and Bhelen.

My Hawke was a female mage who saw the evil in bloodmagic but didn't think the circle was the right solution to the mage problem. She tried to help where she could, always trying to see the good in people even if there was none to be seen. She was in a rivalry romance with Fenris. Her brother became a warden.

My inquisitor will either be an elven or qunari mage. I haven't given much thought about her personality yet. She'll most likely romance Cullen. 146.211.0.10 (talk) 16:05, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

For my "canon" run:

My Warden was a City Elf rogue whom at first hated humans with a passion, for obvious reasons. She was abrasive, cold, and downright rude to them. That all changed when she met Morrigan. Morrigan became her best friend in a time of adversity and challenge, and showed her not all humans were bad. In my head-canon, she fell in love with Morrigan, but respected that Morrigan saw her as a sister, so she took to courting Leliana to keep her mind off it, eventually coming to have genuine feelings for her, but never losing the spark for Morrigan. She took her role as a Warden very seriously, knowing that if not for the Order, she'd have been killed before her adventure ever started. She sided with Behlen in Orzammar, and kept the Anvil of the Void functioning so she could use them against the Archdemon, brokered peace between the Werewolves and the Dalish, ending the curse, sided with the mages in the tower, and sacrificed Lady Isolde so Morrigan could enter the fade and save Conner.

My Hawke was a rogue who used aggression to cover her insecurities and sorrow. For all they did not get along, she was devastated by Carver's death, and went to great lengths to protect her little sister. She saw her sister in every mage, so she always sought to protect them, even after being betrayed at every turn. She saw a heart of gold in Isabela, and fell in love with her long before the pirate saw the good in herself. She was proven right when Isabela returned with the Tome of Koslun, and fought the Arishok in single combat for her love. Though she sided with the mages, she was devastated that First Enchantor Orsino condoned the experiments of Quentin, and in my head-canon, it was just as much Hawke who turned on Orsino as the other way around once he became a Harvester.

My first Inquisitor will be a female Elf rogue. Beyond that, I'm going to try to be as open as possible (I already know more about the story and characters of DA:I than I wish).--TheEnviousWrath (talk) 19:16, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

Danârïus Amell was born in Kirkwall, then raised in Denerim and sent to the circle at the age of 6--when he electrocuted his father, who was trying to rape his mother Revka, but also killed his mother in the process. In the Circle, he was Irving's personal apprentice. He believed in the Isolationist theory--viewing his magic as a curse and wishing he didn't have it, but believing mages should just "go live on an island somewhere", as his friend Niall put it. When Jowan came to Danârïus for help, Danârïus trusted him and did not tell Irving, just because Jowan's was in danger of becoming Tranquil. When asked if he would destroy his own phylactery, Danârïus didn't answer. When Jowan revealed himself as a blood mage and escaped, Danârïus was furious. He had a good life ahead of him in the Circle Tower, but a blood mage's selfishness, Irving's failure as a leader, and his own naivety ruined it for him. After being forced into the Grey Wardens, Danârïus hated blood magic and demons, and was ruthless in his pursuit of their destruction (killed Connor, refused to talk to Kitten and got Amalia killed, allowed the Templars to imprison Irving and the mages, didn't spare the blood mage that surrendered in the tower, personally executed Jowan, etc.) He was always a pragmatic Grey Warden. Later in his quest, when he reached the Gauntlet, he broke down and admitted he felt bad for hunting down and killing Jowan, and not doing more to help his friend. This epiphany led him to understand that fear was more dangerous than blood magic could ever be, and that his own fears made him more vicious than Jowan was. After this he was more open-minded of Blood magic and other forbidden arts--and fell JUST short of actually being a blood mage (sacrificed elves for constitution, worked with the baroness and asked for increased constitution, dark ritual, unlocked taint magic, helped Anders destroy his phylactery). He was outrageously arrogant, because of his ability to create Storms of the Century. He wasn't diplomatic, and usually went with his initial instinct decisions (usually involved just killing the "bad guys"). He respected the Chantry and believed in the Maker, but broke many laws in Denerim during the Civil War to hurt Loghain (by helping the criminal "K", murdering the Guard Captain, and becoming the "Black Fox") By Awakening, he was more mature. The only absolute he held was that Every Darkspawn Must Die. He was a shapeshifter that used lightning, earth and healing spells. He hardened his allies, and became Teyrn of Gwarin, and eventually left with Morrigan through the Eluvian. He's Chaotic Neutral.

Kalâwthrïan Hawke, who is Danârïus's second cousin, was born in Ferelden, but often moved around due to the fact that his father and sister was apostates. "Klaw" and Carter, both being strong warriors (Klaw being better), volunteered as soldiers at Ostagar. He was always honorable and noble, but he wasn't afraid to do what he had to do. He also respected the Chantry to an extent, and sympathized with Elthina, and believed in the Maker. Family always came first to Klaw, even if that meant getting your hands dirty in the process--but he did his best to be honorable. Bethany was taken by the Templars, so Klaw did his best to make things easier for the mages in the circle, but often remained neutral, to avoid angering the Templars. He was rejected by Aveline, but then rivalry-romanced Isabela. At first he respected and sympathized with the Qunari, but over time he began to hate their close minded absolutism. As a Basalit-an, he dueled the Arishok for Isabela, and won. He returned all the Qunari swords, and was given one of the Arishok's previous blades. By Act 3, he was still a generally good guy, but he was much more bitter. He became sort of an elitist, and frowned upon beggars. He got more involved in politics, trying to become Viscount. He despised Qunari and Orlesians alike (barely helped Tallis, tried to get the scroll for himself, killed Prosper). As the Mage-Templar conflict grew, he became frustrated with both sides. He only really sided with the Templars with the pro-mage group of mages and Templars kidnapped his sister, Bethany. This caused Klaw to execute Keran, and agree with Cullen to execute all of the rebellious mages, except for Alain, who Klaw defended. When Anders blew up the chantry, Klaw killed him (especially to avenge Sebastian) but sided with the mages, who were weakened after all the rebellious mages were executed at Klaw's approval (this left Klaw with basically Emille de Launcet, Alain, Bethany and a handful of other timid mages). Overall, he lost some of his optimism, but managed to save his sister and Isabela. He's Neutral Good.

Victor Trevelyan is going to be a Human Rogue Inquisitor, and he's going to be very pro-chantry, and he is going to zealously fight for the world his Maker created. He's going to be ruthless and cruel, in order to please the Maker. He'll probably be Lawful-Evil. Danthehumanmage (talk) 19:55, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

So my two main/favourite playthroughs were:

Furien Mahariel - A once hostile to outsiders Dalish elf warrior. After being saved by duncan and recruited into the wardens, Furien saw a new side to the world he had never believed to exist. He eventually became a bit of a goody goody, trying to find the perfect outcome for every situation. In Orzammar he sided with Harrowmont at first, but after he destroyed the anvil of the void, he realized the plight of the dwarves, and decided that Harrowmont was not a strong enough leader. He chose to save the circle, and in turn the circle helped him save connor. Saved the elves, as well as the werewolves. He hardened Alistair and managed to reach an agreement where he married Anora. But as well, he fell in love with Morrigan and did the dark ritual. He continued the same way through Awakening, and eventually disappeared after chasing Morrigan.

Isiria Hawke - A mage who specialized in force magic. After years of conflict with her brother, she grew to be resentful. Eventually when the blight hit, and her sister was killed, she grew to become more aggressive. Things became worse when Carver joined the Templar order, but ultimately came to a head with the death of their mother. Her resentfulness reached a peak and she ended up fighting to destroy everything her brother stood for. Then Anders happened. Her beloved Anders razed the chantry to the ground. Her friend Merrill had become consumed by blood magic. She had done many bad things, she had allowed many bad things to happen. But in the moment that the chantry exploded, she looked back on all she had wrought. And in that single moment, plunged her knife into Anders' back. She chose to side with the templars after all, realizing how her pro-mage actions allowed the death of her mother.

Lyra Lavellan - A female elf mage, will probably be a neutral type of character, and will probably romance Solas

Lorelei Tabris - A female city-elf rogue. Having been nearly raped by a shemlen, she sought to destroy everything in her wake. Hating of humans, she sided with the templars and allowed the mages to be slaughtered. She killed the Dalish having chosen to let the wolves live as punishment, she abandoned connor and left him to become an abomination, while letting the sacred ashes power be destroyed, she took a pinch to save the arl, so that she could use him like the tool he was. She let redcliffe burn. Chose Harrowmont, and let the anvil be destroyed. She despised the magic behind it. Let Alistair become a drunk, put Anora on the throne and recruited Loghain into the wardens. She denied Morrigan, and let Loghain make the ultimate sacrafice. In awakening, she let amaranthine burn, left anders to the templars, killed the architect. After hearing rumors of Morrigan resurfacing she chased her down and stabbed her. For she saw her as responsible for pushing her beloved Alistair further away.

Mathias Hawke - A male warrior. Very sarcastic and tries to remain neutral. Bethany became a warden. In the end, he sided with the mages out of his love for Merrill. But not after forcing Anders' to redeem himself and shoving a sword through Orsino's face for his involvement in Leandra's demise.

Deakial Adaar - A Vashoth mage, who I see as coming from a sailor's background before being recruited by the mercenary company. He will be falling in love with either Cassandra or Josephine. Probably Josephine. Also, he will have a major bromance with Varric, if that is an option. He will also be a fairly decent kinda guy. ACdeakial (talk) 22:00, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

I posted earlier but i forgot to mention that both of my characters despite being heroic saviors had darker sides. they both had a great bloodlust when it came to battle and moments of extreme anger. they also both had attitudes like zevran. Approaching sex, violence, and how to enjoy life similarly, even when sinning despite loving the maker and hating most of the chantry. Also i have decided that my first inquisitor will be like my other characters and a human male mage, while my second will be a male qunari rogue character who will start out like the others but along the game progressively become violent, disturbed, and unstable, simliar to jason from farcry 3. The thing he has seen makes him wonder if the entire world is wrong and slowly drive him insane with brief moments of lucidness. He is also like the others extremely loyal and cares for his family and friends more than anything. --96.39.206.7 (talk) 01:28, September 3, 2014 (UTC)

I made a number of transformations and conflicts within my male human noble warden Aedan Cousland. He began as an extremely bright but also energetic, eager and restless, lacking a sense of purpose given his limited responsibilities as second in line despite having a deep love and affection for his family. At times he gets into mischief, and is not beyond delving into the occasional affair though with mutual respect and consent and always careful to avoid controversy, which is why he openly sleeps with Iona. That changes after the massacre of his family, leaving him with a profound sense of grief and guilt over their sacrifice, which he walls off be devoting himself completely to the Grey Wardens, a cause he had quietly contemplated prior to then and now muses over the bitter irony. That sense of duty keeps him focused on the overrall goal and ready to make hard decisions and live with the consequences like when he chooses to install Bhelen over Harrowmount or orchestrating Anora and Alistairs marriage despite his personal misgivings about his partners. At the same time his guilt over the senseless sacrifice of his family and cracks of honor they instilled into him seep up from time to time to do all he can to prevent needless sacrifices, saving all of Eamon's family and protecting Redcliff village along with making peace with the Dalish and the wolves. But that personal outrage and sense of injustice also lurks underneath him and he coldly takes down and personally executes Loghain. He pursues a romance with Morrigan, who he admires and respects for her candor and inner assurance of herself, though he likes all his companions for the different aspects and balance they bring which adds a liveliness in his bleak existence, treasuring them as a surrogate family though he hides that with polite courteousy and resolute command, and why he takes Morrigan up on her no strings attached affair precisely to keep such emotional attachment at bay while still indulging in some small comfort. It doesn't work for either though as he comes to rely on her more and more, and he's just as confused as she is on their burgeoning affections though he can no longer deny them. After the Archdemon is slain and Fergus rediscovered a renewed sense of optimism slowly returns to Aedan, tempered by a hardened wisdom and melancholy over Morgan's departure with his child, and he throws himself back into his new duties as Warden-Commander and able administrator of Amaranthine (if one whose prejudiced against previous Howe conspirators though prevents that from condemning the survivors of Howe's family for his crimes) and respecting the Orders previous neutrality and keeps himself out of court politics despite Alistair's request, partly as to not antagonize Anora after killing her father but also to allow Alistair room to grow on his own and without accusations of Warden manipulation. Two years later, after siding with the Arcitect and defeating the Mother, Aedan grows more and more tired as he drives himself into the ground with all his responsibilities, so when word of Morrigan's sighting reaches him he resolves to finally let go of his grief and do something for his own happiness, following after her through the Eluvian to see his son, while resolute to prepare for whatever is to come next at the side of the family he had lost but now found again.

My male rogue Hawke is typically the mercurial jokster and mediator in his family, using words to defuse the tension amongst his other two sibilings and the constant danger their family has faced over the years with humor. While it might seem he's all fun and games Hawke also has a serious side, along with a strong sense of responsibility and protectiveness and can be both empathetic and stern when necessary. While not looking for trouble, he can't bring himself to turn his back on it either and avoid helping those in needs, shaped in part by the suffering his own family has endured constantly on the run in his youth but owing much to the kindness of a few and a determination to not let abusers get away free. In fact he learned much of his sword play and acrobatic moves from while his father worked for a traveling circus as a child, and after his fathers passing became well versed in the free-lance underground jobs in Lothering while sneaking around the templars, which is why he ultimately chooses to go with Athenril when they reach Kirkwall. He hooks up with Isabela, given they have a lot in common in their free-spirited enjoyment of and looking on the bright side in life while not dwelling on the regrets of the past though they butt heads over when to put that fun aside, going back to that sense of responsibility Hawke has. He likes all his companions, respecting their general feelings even when he disagrees and freely expresses his concerns for them in that regard, treating them in much the protective way he feels regarding his family and simply wishing the best for them, letting Merril keep her mirror in the end and Isabela her ship despite his misgivings, though encouraging Sebastian to take back Starkhaven after seeing what's happening to Kirkwall without decisive leadership. In the end, and horrified with what Ander's has done, Hawke sadly executes his friend, and resolves to help the Circle, which includes his sister, against Meredith. Where he is now no one knows, least of all Hawke as he tries to stay afloat in the tides fate has cast him upon.

Finally, my planned for Inquisitor. A male human noble warrior of the Trevelyan family, who I can best describe as a mixture between Dorian, Vivienne, and Cassandra. Like Dorian he's a bit of an oddity in his family, though a devote follower of the Chantry he isn't blind to its problems, especially in regards to the relationship with mages, and his championing the need for reform are horrifyingly validated when the Mage-Templar war occurs. Unlike Dorian, and more like Vivienne however, he is more resolved and ambitious in trying to achieve those higher goals, being familiar with court politics he's a bit hardened in doing what needs to be done. But as with Cassandra he is not capricious or overtly power hungry himself, he simply is realistic enough to know that one needs to acquire power first in order to change anything and he's fully in support of restoring order in these chaotic times and not shy in having that responsibility fall onto him if need be and like Cassandra his aforementioned devotion to the Chantry and belief in his cause fuels his sense of purpose and drive. He thus has a strong sense of honor and duty along with compassion and open-mindedness tempered by pragmatism, which heartens him to gladly take up the cause of the Inquisition and its leadership. --KrimzonStriker (talk) 02:46, September 3, 2014 (UTC)
