I think this may be a elven god or a redesigned architect or maybe even the true form of one of two remaining old gods what do you think?

It's a statueRIGGNAROCK (talk) 01:59, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

It does look like the statues of Falon'Din in elven/tevinter ruins.Binary-Fishing (talk) 02:14, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

It's just a statue, there are plenty of statues like that in Origins, only much smaller. The Bard From Hell (talk) 03:00, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it's not the Architect. One of the possible endings of Awakening is that the Architect can be killed by The Warden.--JackfieldsA113 (talk) 03:08, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

@Jackfields I don't think it'd be the Architect but that's only because I don't think it looks that much like him. Even if he was killed then it would be possible to have him in, as it would for Alistair, Anora or any other character.

It looks like an elvish temple, but since it's a concept art, I can't really say. It does look like the Architect... Maybe a temple dedicated to him? Maybe some crazy people thought he was a god (like the Tevinter people thought the dragons were gods) and build that temple to him. —Rocketai (Ho there! I think it's the architect. Why would an elf temple be in the Deep Roads?--86.22.18.187

The simplest answer is often the correct one: It's probably a statue.

However with that said it could be a statue of the Architect. It could be an Elven god statue. It could be an Elven god. If it is a statue of the Architect then it is possible to meet him in DA2. There isn't really a hard time mentioned for when Awakening takes place (other than it being after the Blight, probably several months later perhaps even a year or more). It is possible that during the decade long timeline of DA2 that Hawke and company meet several DA characters, including but not limited to The Mother and The Architect. --Zambingo (talk) 18:24, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

Well, that does look like the Deep Roads. If you look closely on the corners of this... room-looking thing, you can see some shine resembling lava. Who knows if it's a statue or even a living thing (like Caridin, thinking it's a statue but on a closer look... It moves!). Who knows if it's an elvish temple? DA2 may surprise us with the elven history/legends yada yada... Not that I'm so excited 'bout this since I'm not a big fan of elven lecture. —Rocketai (Ho there! Chase my tail!) 18:31, December 11, 2010 (UTC)

Isn't that one of the things we see in Hawke's "vision" (I put vision in quotation marks because his vision is just showing the gamers a brief overview of what's going to happen in DA2) in the Destiny trailer? Anyway, I don't think it is "just a statue" because from what I can tell, the party seem to be approaching it, and there doesn't look to me like there's anywhere else for them to go so in my opinion it's obviously of some importance. It's the same as this:

Object-Elven Statue

Elven Statue

It is believed by the Dalish Elves to be one of their creator gods, however statues such as this, and another variation with four arms instead of wings, can also be seen throughout the fade.

It should also be noted that Darkspawn have been known to place makeshift 'horns', 'wings', and 'spikeys' on statues made by dwarves and humans, making them resemble the strange design of the elven gods. (EDIT: Although, I just realized this could be because of their new obsession with BDSM. I could be wrong, but who's to say, eh?)

Other statues seen in origins include both Hydra and Cerberus esque beasts. If these creatures are natueral beings, spirits or demons, or just decrative has yet to be determined. DeltaEcho (talk) 19:21, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

Ha, I know you guys are saying it's not tha Architect, and I agree, but if it was, I wonder how he would of gotten so tall... --Muthaphukkin Jake (talk) 06:14, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

What about the party of people looking at it? Does the one on the far left look like a Qunari or just a dude with a horned helmet? If this is the playable party, then maybe we get another Qunari companion? I am curious because the one on the left is so much bigger than the two in the middle. The two in the middle could be elves while the one on the left is a human in massive armor though, which could also explain the size difference.--Alexiolio (talk) 20:29, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

My first impression upon seeing the person on the left was Qunari. It'll be cool if we do get a Qunari in the party, considering the plot involves a Qunari invasion, so it'll be weird to see one fighting their own kind. I know Sten did, but only in small bands, and they were outsiders, I forget the Qunari name for them. But it'll be cool to see one fighting against an entire army with a small band of heroes. IanFTW (talk) 22:05, December 14, 2010 (UTC)
I'm going with statue too, but only a few creatures we've seen have paws like that, such as the Architect and some elder trees... Arcane warrior (talk) 03:47, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
