Which elven character do you think is the most interesting in the series excluding the protagonists? I think that's Fenris because he had a quite complex past full of hard and grey choices, traveling the world to escape from former master and taking temporary jobs to survive or stealing enough coins to pay mercs for distracting his hunters. His past is similar to Marvel's Wolverine, my one of favorite characters. Fenris' serious attitude to everything makes him interesting, so trying to befriend him. He acts baddas, but is soft when pc tries to romance him. 1st night with him was the most climatic of all romance options in DA2. He was also very useful on battlefield. You can agree or disagree, but that's what I think about him.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 16:51, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

I thought Velanna was pretty good because her story arc was quite engaging. Also her character reminded me of Ethan out of The Searchers. MyHyde (talk) 18:31, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

After reading a bit of The Mask Empire I'd have to say Briala's story is the most interesting to me. The Dread Wolf 20:40, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

The city elf warden. Oh right, they don't count. Well, I hate to say it, but Merrill. What an adorable little blood mage. She's such a contradiction. She's the sweetest character in DA 2 - and probably all of Dragon Age - but she practices magic that is constantly described as pure evil. I think her character is a sort of metaphor for the fact that innocent people are the easiest to corrupt. Those who are jaded stick to their ways. Also her romance is the only one in DA 2 - and one of the few in all of Dragon Age - that is essentially drama. She accepts Hawke's love at face value, the end. No brooding "I'm too damaged" nonsense like with Fenris or "I'll hurt you" like with Andres or "I'm not scared of loving someone, I'm scared of being loved" like with Isabela. Just "I love you" "I love you too". Drama is interesting from a stroyline perspective, but all of the mind games and other nonsense that the other romance options put Hawke through makes the other three less appealing. Shianni was also interesting, a nice and lovables character and she's strong-willed and doesn't let be fooled by Tevinter Healers.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 21:52, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

Briala is my favorite after reading the masked empire even though I can't believe the ending 216.25.180.226 (talk) 04:19, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

I don't want to sound like Captain Obvious, but so far, my favourite Elven character has to be Zevran. I just loved his entire story arc in DAO albeit his cameo in DA2. With full loyalty, he was truly one of the most enjoyable friends I had amongst my companions, and his party banter with Oghren was amazing. He just reminded me of one of the faceless ones in ASOIF, Jaqen weirdly enough. As well as that, I just loved his attitude towards you as a male or female, and he was one of the few party members that gets to let you know more about himself before you do in a way. The fear I had in my Fist Playthrough, thinking that this guy would turn against me any minute was suspenseful and brilliant, and had I not had his loyalty he would at the end,but when he stuck by me, that did it for me. I hope we do get another Antivan Crow as an agent or companion in DAI. ---Lazare326 (talk)>

What does ASOIF mean?FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 12:31, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
A Song of Ice and Fire. One of the major influences for DA Series, Gaider and Bioware are big fans of the series by G.R.R Martin. Game of Thrones is the series which is considered as one of the best shows on TV right now. There are a lot of similarities between the two, which is awesome. One of the bloodiest fantasy series' though.---Lazare326 (talk)>

Picking just one Elf is so hard, but then again I'm most certainly team Elf so that's probably why. Since others have listed great characters, I'm going to give a shout out to Zathrian. His character was so complex and his story was just heartbreaking and horrifying all in one swoop (and swooping is bad.) But seriously, I really enjoyed his storyline and liked ending Nature of the Beast in a compromise by freeing the Werewolves and saving the Elves by having Zathrian sacrifice himself. I feel like that way he finally gets an end from the pain and suffering he endured for centuries and could finally be reunited with his children in the afterlife. --Jamirflyd (talk) 22:45, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
