First off: no, no they're not. The option to play as a woman was added because there are plenty of gamers who are girls, and there are plenty of people of both genders who want to play as a woman (though granted, men's reasons for playing a female Warden/Hawke are generally impure). It isn't about "political correctness," it's about giving freedom of choice to the players as to what kind of character they want. Second, neither the games nor this wiki are "for men"; though men likely make up a majority of the game's fans and this wiki (I haven't checked, so feel free to correct me), there are, again, plenty of women. Just because you don't like the color purple doesn't mean you need to make this a gender issue. Plus, I'm almost certain that it's an April Fool's joke, so you're both taking this too seriously.

And I seriously hope that "the game is for MEN" is also meant just as a joke, since from what I've seen, here on the wiki as well as on the ff.n, DA has a high percentage of female gamers, probably higher than average. Just saying. --Ygrain (talk) 08:46, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

I was quite serious when I said that, the wikia is for a game for men. Choice and political correctness are the same thing for me... both are to shut up the whiners that always have an excuse to scream "racism" sexism" every chance they get. Dragon Age 2's political correctness in particular is very painful to watch ( yeah, everybody is bisexual in the world huh?) oh don't mind me, I always end up ranting about Dragon Age 2 every chance I get.--GreyWardenMortimus (talk) 09:20, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

@GreyWardenMortimus, the Dragon Age wiki welcomes all players of Dragon Age regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or creed. I'd like to continue to keep a welcoming atmosphere for all our readers and editors. I do know that we have a larger than usual percentage of female players who also enjoy this game for what it is and therefore it is incorrect to say that this game is for men only.
