So Trespasser has added Armor Sigils, which give bonuses and penalties for their use. My question is, is it worth actually using them? Because from what I can tell all of them have extremely steep penalties that look like they overwhelm any of the upsides to their use. 75.142.148.152 (talk) 19:07, September 18, 2015 (UTC)

Many of them are worth using, but which ones depend entirely on your class and build. For example, the Sigil of Lyrium takes half your health but gives you +50% barrier which is ok for a knight enchanter - meanwhile, the Sigil of the Bronto is good for tanks since they dont usually need barrier save for early game. The Sigil of the Golem is ok for any class that doesn't rely on crits like some warriors, the Sigil of the Arcane Horror is decent for some mage builds that rely on spirit damage (KEs and some necromancers mostly), the Sigil of the Deepstalker may be very good for a dual wielding rogue that's entirely focused on backstabbing. You have to judge whether your build makes the benefit more important than the drawback.--ssalgnikool (talk) 19:45, September 18, 2015 (UTC)

Except for Sigil of the Deepstalker, those are all Sigils you can get during the main campaign. Most of the ones you can get in Trespasser itself suck. Silver Warden (talk) 20:35, September 18, 2015 (UTC)

The Sigil of the Revenant gives a pretty good healing rate, which is unusual in Inquisition. The Sigil of the Tusket is really good for low armour tanks, such as knight enchanters. Caspoi (talk) 23:14, September 18, 2015 (UTC)

I'd think the Sigil of the Revenant would be good on a Reaver: Dragon-Rage takes a pretty significant percentage of your health, regardless of what it is (while drawing its attack power from Strength, which effectively makes Constitution useless on a Reaver), so give them that sigil, the Superb Ring of Life-Drain, and a Strength-heavy Heal on Kill-crafted Hossberg Twainer, they can effectively use Dragon-Rage infinitely. Although Bull seems to last longer under A.I. than when I use him, so maybe I just suck at reaving. RShepard227 (talk) 04:36, September 19, 2015 (UTC)
My idea too, combine this with a Belt of Urgency and you can get a pretty powerful reaver. Caspoi (talk) 11:49, September 19, 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, unfortunately they're one of a kind and get destroyed if you replace them, as I've come to understand it, meaning that you can't re-apply them to better armors. That Belt of Urgency was a great find in Trespasser, glad they added it to the vanilla (and early on), maybe Bull won't be so terrible when I do my second run. Actually, you can. Caspoi (talk) 12:44, September 20, 2015 (UTC)
Really? This is from the wiki's Sigils page, quote: "Once a sigil has been applied, the sigil cannot be removed, however it can be replaced, similar to weapon runes." That to me suggests the sigil gets destroyed when it gets replaced, just like the weapon runes. Unless that's not the case? RShepard227 (talk) 15:25, September 21, 2015 (UTC)
Might be a glitch, because I have clearly done so. Caspoi (talk) 16:22, September 21, 2015 (UTC)

I actually like Sigil of the Great Bear as well. You can really front load spells and if you get Winter Stillness (and don't have to move around much) your mana regen would be normal. There's also Restorative Veil to help offset if you're a Rift Mage, Death Siphon for Necromancers and .. ok I forget the ability on Knight Enchanters but I'm fairly sure there's one there that helps with power regen. 100.14.120.90 (talk) 00:07, September 22, 2015 (UTC)
