Hey does anybody think we will be able to romance Celine and take the throne with her thoughts And comments ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.240.161.132 (talk)

From what we have read so far of Celene (I am not talking about TME because I haven't got the chance to read it), she is a lesbian, but she would accept a political marriage with a man (she planned to conquer Ferelden peacefully through marriage) I have been thinking that she would offer the male, human inquisitor to be the Emperor of Orlais in return to defeating Gaspard in the Orlesian Civil War. --Verkone (talk) 18:01, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

The other possibility is a human female being able to marry Gaspard and become empress by ousting Celene. In the Orlesian civil war you probably going to have to choose sides Gaspard or Celene, not to mention Celene is trained as a bard and might try to gain the Inquisitor favour by some "persuasive" methods. In the Orlesian grand game it appears wherever has the biggest trump card wins and what better trump card then the leader of newly formed Inquisition, so both side may be bending over backwards so you side with them. She's a lesbian, but to be frank, she's an Empress-for how long that lasts, is up to us i guess?- but she's eventually going to have to by duty, pursue marriage to conceive an heir. But hey, not all monarchs have done this, its just a way of solidifying authority and causing less tension over a succession crisis. I personally hope there is a 3rd option. Because right now I'm split between the two. I doubt'd it if they'd marry, even if attempted to persuade. Lazare326 21:09, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

I am actually intrigued by this idea. It seems like a good idea, especially if she is an NPC romance like Cortez and Traynor were in ME3. It would be nice if this is an option, but not a one off political thing like with Anora or Sebastian. Supergodzilla118 (talk) Supergodzilla118 21:46, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

If you can, you better hope nobody gossips about it, or she'll have hundreds of whatever race you're playing as slaughtered. 22:21, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

As far as I've read so far, Celene already has a paramour in that elven spymaster-slut she keeps around. Additionally, she would probably be an option for a political marriage *if* said suitor had royal or noble blood, which as far as I'm aware, none of the Inquisitor "origins" have; she only considered Cailan for the alliance it would create, after all. Frankly, I think it'd be wiser if they didn't include the option at all for Celene, but leave the alliance option open for her, while leaving both options open for Gaspard. On a semi-related note, if there is the option to not help her, that's what I'll do, since she appears to be incapable of keeping hold on her own country. EzzyD (talk) 01:22, May 23, 2014 (UTC)

While I don't care for the Orlais that much, as most we see out of them is essentially the worst or best from there, I have to admit that running a country where the noble lifestyle and politics are essentially "Power-grab politics the board game," seems pretty challenging.--Jcama (talk) 05:55, May 23, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, Orlais needs a serious wake-up call. While the rest of Thedas is burning, they're playing "Mean Girls" as a political system. I'd only marry Celene if it allowed for the option of giving Orlais a Stalin-esque Great Purge. Starting with Celene. 13:52, May 24, 2014 (UTC)

I for one would like this idea very much and would actually applaud Bioware for giving the option to do so. If there's one thing that irks me, it's how you never really get positions of power in RPGs. Most of the time you're bottom rung or a rebel, and even when you do supposedly have a great position you don't exercise very much power. Look at Shepard for Mass Effect, he's a Commander and a Spectre, yet when does he ever get to really pull strings or order people around? Everyone under the sun is just fine with telling you "no" right to your face. Let me wield some real power damn it! I don't know much about Celene (Okay, I know nothing about her) but I might like her in the game enough for romance- and even if I didn't, I'd marry for power if the option were given to me.
