I’ve been updating the acquisition of some items to reflect that they’re obtainable by different means now. I’ve usually been leaving up the original acquisition but changing the tenses and wording to reflect that that’s how it ‘‘’used’’’ to be obtained. Mainly because I’ve been hesitant to remove info that was once extremely relevant and important. But I’d like to propose the following:

  • Remove detailed information of previous and now obsolete acquisition of items.
  • Add a ‘’short’’ sentence in Trivia reflecting the history of its original means of acquisition (i.e. “Originally available through pre-order”, “originally obtainable through ‘’’Dragon Age Legends’’’)

Reasoning:

  • Removes clutter from page that’s no longer relevant or helpful, including original links to pages, details of pre-order, what quests needed to be performed, etc.
  • Retains a brief history of where the item originated from, more as an “this is an interesting bit of trivia” rather than “this is necessary info”.
  • Microsoft Points no longer exist. Update pages to reflect current dollar amounts
    • Addendum: technically they do still exist as they're still what gift cards are being issued as, but Microsoft converts the points into dollar amounts as soon as you try to purchase something.
  • Update pages to indicate how much the items (mainly DLC and main games) ‘’’currently’’’ cost, rather than the price they were when first released.

Reasoning:

  • Clarity of page, helps reader know how much they’ll have to spend if they want to purchase this now. No need for listing past cost of items. Kelcat (talk) 15:36, September 20, 2013 (UTC)

Now, for us in Europe dollars don't mean nothing. Now the question arises what curency we should use, and why. Do we want to go back to all the pages and add prices in pounds and euros as well? Henio0 (talk) 16:03, September 20, 2013 (UTC)

  • Ah, I hadn't even thought about that :) To be honest, I'm rather ambivelant as to whether we even have prices on the pages at all. It's noteworthy if a DLC becomes free, but beyond that I don't know if the price point is necessary. Kelcat (talk) 16:22, September 20, 2013 (UTC)

Would like to get some feedback re: whether or not listing prices on games/DLC/etc is even necessary. As Henio0 pointed out, US dollars don't mean much to outside countries, so should we take it out completely? Kelcat (talk) 16:13, September 24, 2013 (UTC)

I don't know about other people, but I don't come to this wiki in order to know the up-to-date prices of DLC. I'd check that with my retailer or XBOX Live/PSN/etc. So no, I don't think that it's necessary. Seems like a bit of a hassle too, keeping track of price changes.--Agent047 (talk) 20:45, September 25, 2013 (UTC)

Right, and I just don't see the point in having info about how much it used to cost when it was released. Kelcat (talk) 15:17, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

Indeed. I also think it would be for the best to remove them. Na via lerno victoria 08:08, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

All right, I'll work on getting prices removed, and then take another look at the acquisition info of bonus items to see what's no longer relevant. Kelcat (talk) 05:53, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
