Given the current political and social climate on file sharing on the internet, I was curious enough to make this thread. Here is my question:

Do we, as the wiki, plan to sub and watch the Dawn of the Seeker feature-length DA film after its release tomorrow? I'm sure at least some people on the wiki are familiar with anime subbing, and I was thinking that this would be done in a similar way. If not, that is unfortunate because I much prefer subs to dubs, and I'm a little impatient to see DotS, despite its pre-release reception. If so, I'd like to know if anyone here will be doing the subbing and hosting for the film. No one here is doing it, then I'd like to ask if anyone knows who is.

The movie will be out in theaters in Japan tomorrow, so unless someone gets hold of a screener or film the movie inside the theaters (either way is illegal), you won't see it on the Internet for a while. I don't know if they've given a release for the DVD for the Japanese version. I haven't followed anime subbing for a while, but I was always under the impression that, if it gets subbed, it's illegal, while it's more "acceptable" if it's only released in Japan. Anyway, it's illegal, but talking about the movie itself (regardless of how you get to see it) is fine on the wiki, as long you do not explicitly link to the pirated movie or whatever. If anyone wants to host or sub the movie, it cannot be associated with the wiki. I'm pretty sure some fan subbing groups will do it anyway. --D. (talk · contr) 19:07, February 10, 2012 (UTC)
