So I'm on my second play thru of DAI and im noticing that with all regions unlocked and just finishing wicked eyes wicked hearts i still have around 150 power left and its still growing(missions in the hissing wastes and emprise du lion) . Why do they give us so much when i know for a fact it will not take me that much power to finish the game maybe half what i have now. Is there some late game use i don't know about since i didn't continue my first play thru after killing corifimous?

Yea I think its dumb too, and I also don't like the fact that after we reach Skyhold all the maps are unlocked at once. It should only be a few of the maps that should be unlocked at a time, like say one in the dales, and then once we have cleared the battlefield, we find information about the woodsman and the freeman down south so we can go an investigate.
The same is for the decert, we may start with Vestern Approch and then after we have taken the Griffen fort, or better yet defeated the final badguy in the area, we find information that leads to the hissing wastes.
Emprice du lion should be unlocked after finding enogh letters refering to it and so on. -rphb- (talk) 15:54, May 5, 2015 (UTC)
I think it's because it'll be needed to unlock DLC areas (JoH and Black Emporium require power to open)--PennyLynn1101 (talk) 17:41, May 5, 2015 (UTC)
By the end of the game I typically wind up with 300+ some power. Unless they plan on doing a bunch of DLCs or a few that require a ton of power (which seems unlikely), I'd say that the excess power exists because the devs didn't want to force the players to do every sidequest to unlock everything. Though I also think they vastly underestimated the number of people who do every sidequest. Silver Warden (talk) 18:23, May 5, 2015 (UTC)

War tables should take power all the time instead of time. Then there'd be a point to do all these requisitions. User signature henioo henioo (da talk page) 18:51, May 5, 2015 (UTC)

That's not a bad idea. Or you could pay power to accelerate the time to completion. I think the devs have admitted that they didn't have anywhere near enough things in game to spend power on, and are looking to include them in future DLC. Luper567 (talk) 19:03, May 5, 2015 (UTC)
