I have made a few Hawkes, each derived from a different preset and then modified to my liking. Original Bethany for default Hawke is a cutie. But my god! When I stray away from default Hawke face she becomes incredibly homely. I think there's an image somewhere on this wiki which points out which presets create which facial reconstructions for your family. As want to say that there are three possible constructions for your family; one which corresponds to the default and a few of the presets, and then two others for two other groups of presets. Honestly, I can see the motivation behind doing this, but I do agree with you. Some of the looks are downright bad. actually that image is no longer valid, several of those presets never made it to the game, a new image should be made to show what can you obtain. I customized my hawke, and the only modification bethany had was heavier makeup, her lips were of a darker red, so were her cheeks, and her eye makeup was also red but her face and hair remained identical. I personally liked the feature. Bethany ended up looking almost exactly like my Hawke, which make the beginning of the game rather confusing, and I didn't like Carver's hair in the beginning, but he definitely grew on me. --Hdubs (talk) 22:35, March 11, 2011 (UTC)
