Nice, thanks! I'll sure as hell be playing a lady elf for inquisition.--80.6.149.168 (talk) 00:03, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

Is this from Comic-Con? The Dread Wolf 00:18, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

Haha that kinda looks like Felicia Day. Lazare326 02:32, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

Nah, this female elf actually looks pretty. Which makes me wonder, is BioWare trying to turn us elf-sexual by making the human females ugly and the elf females pretty? Believe it! (talk) 02:37, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Despite the poor character, rest assured Felicia Day is actually good looking, thus I think this elf is good looking. Your view on the looks of any character what so ever has either been insulting or unjustified. Lazare326 02:45, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Classic negative comment from Believe it, all women are ugly if they don't fit his "perfect" standards... Xsari (talk) 16:40, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Although I don't agree with 'Believe it' in this case, he has a entitlement to his personification of beauty - it doesn't need your justification. Felicia Day is attractive to you, but not to him. Your view is no more right than his.
His views are hardly unusual in regards to DAI characters; not everyone subscribes to BioWare's frankly insulting insinuation that an attractive character is somehow lacking in personality. Ie, the 'dumb blonde' stereotype. Alexsau1991 (talk page) 20:46, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Personally, I think Cassandra and especially Josephine look "prettier" than Sera or this elf. Well, OK, perhaps "pretty" isn't the right word for Cass, but I still think she looks better. --CountSilvershroud (talk) 03:19, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

Elf aside, I hope that's not the final typeface for the subtitles. I really don't like it, and I always play with the subtitles on. Nitpicky, I know. --Death by Cheese (talk) 02:41, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

i like playing with them on too! tho i find it hilarious that you comment about that and not about the fact that the elf looks sooooo pretty! :D Faye Cousland (talk) 03:59, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
It's weird, but that was truly the first thought I had ("ewww, the subtitles are awful") and not "Oooh, pretty elf woman!" XD She's almost mod-level beautiful, isn't she? --Death by Cheese (talk) 03:13, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Same here. I noticed the subtitles first as well, as I always play with them on. --CountSilvershroud (talk) 03:15, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

yes its from comic con ;)Star Metal Knight (talk) 03:12, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

Okay. Really? The typeface isn't good? Is there literally *anything* about games these days that people won't complain about? I mean really, come on now. 67.61.238.87 (talk) 04:49, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

It's just a minor nitpick. It's not going to stop me from enjoying the game. And at least I'm not complaining about anyone's appearance, right? ;) --Death by Cheese (talk) 06:26, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, and that's fine. It just seems like people have gone out of their way to tear literally everything apart before we even play it. Not just Inquisition either, but every game these days. It's getting real old. 67.61.238.87 (talk) 19:22, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
I know what you mean. I'm at the point where I never read reviews of games anymore until after I have played through it and made my own mind up on what I think of it, because if I did, I would probably be convinced that all of them are horrible. And for the record, my complaint about the subtitles really means very little to me. It doesn't affect my opinion of the game at all, other than that if Bioware asked my opinion about it, I'd recommend that they find a better font. --CountSilvershroud (talk) 20:11, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Fair enough. 67.61.238.87 (talk) 20:37, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

Now that's an ugly elf. User signature henioo henioo (da talk page) 06:24, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

I find the facial features weird, too wide cheekbone, shallow cheeks, chincrack... I don't think she's ugly though, and I'm sure it's a matter of taste. But I see the potential what I could make out of my own character, so overall it's promising. --Margerard is a Dragon Age Wiki Editor 13:46, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

I actually think part of the problem is how tiny her nose is. It makes her face look wider than it really is. Her eyebrows also don't look like they extend far enough out, which makes her eyes look larger than they are, too. It just kinda messes with her proportions, I guess. She's not bad looking, though. Norqi (talk) 14:02, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
I just don't think her features are "sharp" enough for en Elf. Especially her chin. Primary Faction (talk) 01:47, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

I wonder how many of you are going to realize that this is just one of the pre-sets or event the default face for the female elf inquisitor? There is bound to be more customization of the nose or cheekbones I bet. Either way, I am definitely playing a female elf run like I normally do. I've always been a fan of fantasy elves. I hope to see some gameplay action soon of this and the male elf. Supergodzilla118 (talk) Supergodzilla118 21:00, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

I have realized that, hence saying that I see the potential in it. I'm sure I can make faces I'll be satisfied with. Norqi and I just merely noted that whoever created this face made it weird a bit. --Margerard is a Dragon Age Wiki Editor 21:46, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

I'm actually pretty unsure how I feel about a lot of the images coming out of Inquisition. Some of them I really like, such as DuRellion or Josephine, but others do seem a little disappointing, more in line with DA II's cartoonish aesthetics which I despised (though I seem to be in the minority on that). This one seems to be somewhere in the middle, but I do like the vibrant eyes and skin texture. And at least the elves don't look like Na'vi anymore! Chantry symbol King Cousland | Talk   21:40, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

I didn't like the cartoonish looks of DA2 either, and usually that's why I'm so confused why many prefer Cassandra there, for example. She looked like a plastic doll to me there, now she looks a lot more... not sure how to put it, characteristic to me I suppose. I haven't gotten that cartoonish feel from Inquisition yet though, except for Dorian's mustache, though I find that simply funny. --Margerard is a Dragon Age Wiki Editor 21:46, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
Agree with both of you here. DA2's character models not only looked plastic, they just looked out of place to me for some reason. Though the Elves reminded me of aquatic animals or something, I'm pleased with how the models are in DAI. The only one- from our companions- that has concerned me in regards to the looks is Cole. I just thought he looked a bit cartoony. Lazare326 21:51, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
I absolutely loathed and abhorred the graphics of DA2 the first time I played it, but I got used to it after a while. After replaying it though I'm very pleased with how Frostbite looks when it comes to the characters. I'll admit the companions aren't as bombshell beautiful anymore, but I'd much rather have them looking like this than anything near what the companions looked like in DA2. What throws me off though is just how cartoony this elf looks. It's like they went back to the Lycium engine just to make her. B.S.S.T. (talk) 00:23, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Am I the only one who isn't seeing this alleged sexy tattooed elf Inquisitor? No picture, no link, nothing. Bad web browser maybe? RShepard227 (talk) 00:04, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Does this link work for you? 2014_07_26_15_26_47_Twitter.jpg B.S.S.T. (talk) 00:23, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Oh hey, she isn't that bad. Glad all elfs don't actually look like Sera. I wouldn't want to cringe at every elf I come across. Though I still wish Elves were prettier. Aren't they suppose to exotically beautiful? I don't see that in Inquisition. Primary Faction (talk) 01:06, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Have you ever seen that in any of the previous games? That said, I did like elves in Origins and I appreciated that they tried to make a unique look for elves in DA2 (even though it was rather a failure), and I like the appearance of this one as well. But I have never seen any of the elves in these games as exotically beautiful, and I always found those remarks funny about how elves could seduce people, making them effective assassins and things like that. --Margerard is a Dragon Age Wiki Editor 01:32, July 28, 2014 (UTC)
It's because they're trying to make them like LOTR elves (in terms of appearance) who were regarded as exotically beautiful, and the fairest race, and blah blah. But engine limitations and what not mean that they really just look like smaller humans with pointed ears more or less. 67.61.238.87 (talk) 13:02, July 28, 2014 (UTC)
I'm sure they'll nail it eventually... Right? Primary Faction (talk) 01:43, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

Hell, I'm just glad the elves don't look like aliens like they did in DA2. Wataru14 (talk) 03:20, July 28, 2014 (UTC)

I'm glad they're finding a middle-point between the "humans with pointy ears" from DA and the "alien" look from DA2. Of course, what if their look in DA2 is because that's just how Varric sees them? MurderKnife-Small Jasin Moridin 14:28, August 3, 2014 (UTC)

I'm not happy. They still haven't found a way to make them how beautiful they describe them to be. Primary Faction (talk) 18:01, August 3, 2014 (UTC)
Their way must consist of making most of the human females ugly. Believe it! (talk) 02:32, August 4, 2014 (UTC)
Considering all of the female companions in Inquisition, I wouldn't be surprised if every woman of any race turns out to be ugly. Primary Faction (talk) 02:45, August 4, 2014 (UTC)

gotta love how everyone expects that the person who made this elf has to cater to there every need because there isn't such thing as variation or difference, just that one face every female elf will be using.--Jcama (talk) 03:01, August 4, 2014 (UTC)

You mean it isn't? Primary Faction (talk) 03:06, August 4, 2014 (UTC)
Meh, probably is, personally I've taken the "couldn't care less" stance toward the picture since I never had been a fan of generic fantasy races like the dwarves or elves in the first place (GO Quanari/Kossith/whatever!), and only commented since info on the game has been slow.--Jcama (talk) 03:13, August 4, 2014 (UTC)
