Sorry for the long read but I've tried a lot of things already.

The game doesn't install for me. When I put the DVD's in my pc it show the set-up start-up where it shows the steps you need to take (install Origin, log in, install game), but then it does nothing. The first time it said there was a problem when installing Origin (it showed that Windows screen where it says its looking for a solution). I then installed Origin myself from the website and logged in. Then copied all of the files from all of the disks to my hard drive and tried to install it from my hd. But it did the same thing without the problem with Origin. I then went to Origin and put in my product code so DAI would show up in it and tried to download and install it that way but it still doesn't appear to do anything. It's showing that install window in Origin for about an hour now. My task-manager does show Origin and something called Touchup.exe (EA installer touchup) and Dirext X setup.

Does anybody know if I can try something else.--211086004 (talk) 22:16, November 20, 2014 (UTC)

Hmm, maybe try closing the DirectX setup? Best try and kill the process. It's hard for me to suggest something when I'm not seeing it myself. (BTW, it's funny how I'm responding to every technical problems thread) Edit: Another idea: try opening the disc in Windows Explorer and running the setup.exe (not autorun) with administrator rights. I closed the DirectX setup as you suggested and it worked I can now play, however now my character is partly see-through and there are big black beams shooting out of him and into the sky. This doesn't happen during cutscenes. I have the latest DirectX. --211086004 (talk) 08:50, November 21, 2014 (UTC)

Installing DirectX again sometimes helps. You could also try installing the latest C++ runtime. If that doesn't work, then it might be either just a bug or a graphics card problem. What model is it? Saba0th (talk) 10:10, November 21, 2014 (UTC)

Do you happen to know what the latest version of C++ Runtime is and where I can download it. My videocard is an AMD Radeon 5700. And according to the AMD auto driver-detect I have the latest drivers.--211086004 (talk) 18:35, November 21, 2014 (UTC)

support.microsoft.com/kb/2019667 Download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 there. I'm not sure if the older ones are required, but try that one first and see if it does anything. Edit: Try the 2012 Update 4 too. Saba0th (talk) 20:15, November 21, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks game works great now. Well as great as it can on my old pc.--211086004 (talk) 17:18, November 22, 2014 (UTC)
