Things are a little tense in the forums right now, and in order to vent our frustrations and anticipations, I thought we could use a lighthearted topic. I enjoy Easter eggs, running gags and in-jokes (hence my user name), and I'm sure Inquisition will be full of fun Easter eggs. Is there anything specific you'd like to see? This may be a little obscure, but I'd like a reference to Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain children's fantasy series, specifically, I'd like a dwarf named Taran, who is an "Assistant Nug Keeper." It's just too perfect! --Death by Cheese (talk) 23:08, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

More of the same personally. I'd like to see more Princess Bride, Star Wars, Previous Game (Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Ages Origins and 2 specifically) allusions. Maybe they could include a Count of Monte Cristo or Odyssey reference, but as to how I have no idea. B.S.S.T. (talk) 23:19, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

You know, I always thought there were a few similarities between Hawke and the nobles of Kirkwall and The Count of Monte Cristo. There could be a side quest in Inquisition about an escaped mage named Dantès, or at least a "letter" that turns into a codex entry about an imprisoned mage or mage supporter who escapes during the chaos of the war and lays out his plans to help his friends and seek revenge on those that imprisoned him. --Death by Cheese (talk) 23:45, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

I was expecting "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisiton" references, but apparently, everyone expects them, so I don't expect any to show up. Other Monty Python gags can still take place, however, like an Orlesian Cheese Shop that doesn't actually have any cheese. Crimpycracker (talk) 23:38, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

The cheese shop would be awesome! --Death by Cheese (talk) 23:45, October 17, 2014 (UTC)

A mage healer who says "Trust me, I'm the Healer" and a joke about the starchild/RGB choice in ME3. Also wouldn't mind seeing a c.s lewis reference to the Dawn Treader. That's all I got for now... DeakialSig1 00:01, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

I was thinking maybe, possibly a nod to the Avatar in The Last Airbender/LoK series. You know, a mage who has mastered all elemental trees; Fire, Ice(water), Earth, Air(Only equivalent I can think of is Force Mage) and can cast spells with the same kind of martial art style in the show. I'd be pleased to see this in any DA title down the line.--142.196.246.171 (talk) 00:39, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

Cheese Wheels. Cheese Wheels everywhere. -HD3 Sig 04:14, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

I see what you did there. B.S.S.T. (talk) 04:16, October 18, 2014 (UTC)
If at any point in Inquisition a character has their hand on another character's shoulder and is waving at something in the distance, I am taking a screenshot and turning this into a macro. --Death by Cheese (talk) 04:35, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

I'd be kinda disappointed if they don't do something where it shows Sten having introduced cookies and cake into the Qun and making it some kinda law or something.75.174.202.203 (talk) 05:29, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

Any Dr. Who reference they could fit in there would be awesome by me- I don't know how or where, but it would be very cool. A Final Fantasy reference could be implemented pretty easily; just have some blacksmith have the line "Adventurers just keep wanting bigger and bigger swords. This one guy with spiky hair asked for a huge one, the thing was massive- I'm amazed he could lift the dam thing." Friendlysociopath (talk) 05:40, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

I'm hoping for a reference, preferably from a DA2 guest ally in battle banter with Varric, that "These enemies don't seem as durable as the ones in Kirkwall!" "At least these actually die if you slash them hard enough!" Cassandra: "I thought you were bullshitting about that, Varric!" "Nah, pretty much everyone and their brother could take fifty bolts before going down. I'm surprised Bianca had enough!" RShepard227 (talk) 05:54, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

If we get orlesian masks to wear, I want Darth Revan's mask. --SylvanLore (talk) 08:14, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

Since Inquisition involves the Fade, "spirit" weapons, and hunting animals, I would like to see the Inquisitor use the Sword of Truthiness. Take that dire bunny! All darkspawn, fear my Sword of Truthiness! Believe it! (talk) 22:12, October 19, 2014 (UTC)

Well they did say in the Raptr Q&A that when we craft weapons, we can name them. So you probably could make a Sword of Truthiness (I know I sure as hell would name a sword that) and nugs kinda look like bunnies so...75.174.202.203 (talk) 09:03, October 22, 2014 (UTC)

No more 'swooping is bad' or stupid cheese wheel jokes. A little self awareness never hurts. In particular Hawke's ineffectuality outside of combat. -- Soulofshezarr (talk) 02:47, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

Someone telling the Inquisitor he/she is the hero Thedas deserves, but not the one it needs.--Lurooke Surana (talk) 04:46, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

The Mass Effect codex entry from DAO gets me every time, but I think allusions to the previous titles in DA would work best. I'd like Herren and Wade to be referenced at least one. Those two always cracked me up. --137.140.124.213 (talk) 12:34, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

Enchantment and they should totally make sandal the main character in Dragon Age 4 just for fun

I don't remember who said it but some guy a while back said Easter Eggs are just reused ideas and have no real place anywere.

As for easter eggs myself, Star Wars, DA, ME, LOTR and a few others would be could. Supergodzilla118 (talk) Supergodzilla118 13:40, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

I hope there is a chance to pick up more equipment that was worn by other characters. Like how you could get Maric's sword. -209.95.36.62 (talk) 13:45, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

Within reason I hope, it was ridiculous how many artifacts dating back even to the ancient age that you could find as Hawke or the Warden. I think this will partially remedied by the size of the map but that amount of artifacts took their value away in my eyes. Caspoi (talk) 14:27, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

Another lotr reference that would be cool is : the ONE ring it could be either a ring that give limited control or paralisis over our enemy obtained only after a lengthy quest or it could be forced on us with load o bad side effect and the only way to ge rid of it would be to go up a montain and trow it in lava so what do you think ? DragonInquisitor (talk) 14:53, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

That might be a bit too much but anything similar to Ring of the Warrior might work well. Caspoi (talk) 15:36, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

I think having a Oghren and Varric moment in there would be hilarious Oghren being the stereotypical dwarf and Varric being completely non stereotypical or if you have Varric and Sera in the party together they shout out how many enemies they've killed as a reference to LOTR WardenMaster (talk) 17:11, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

The ability to mark the shields and helmets of your soldiers with "the green hand" as a reference to Saruman. Caspoi (talk) 21:34, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

I thought Easter Eggs were related to the series. Out of game references were something else entirely, I thought. Well, in the case of out of game references, I would like to see a scene where the Inquisitor and companions are lying down around a campfire with magic potions in front of them. Then tiny gopher-like creatures (gnomes?) in pajamas holding knapsacks run up and take the potions. The party then kicks and pokes the thieves making them drop magic and meat. Anyone know the reference? Believe it! (talk) 16:12, October 22, 2014 (UTC)
