What do you think the upcoming DLC will involve, and do you think they will be told in a framed narrative? I think we might do something relating to Malcolm Hawke, and for an expansion, I think we'll find out where Hawke dissapeared to. What are your ideas? King Cousland (talk) 22:45, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
One DLC might concentrate on the Seekers immediately after the events of the end of the game. It could be Cassandra searching for Varric or any of the other companions for interrogation. I honestly don't see DA2 getting an expansion to the scale of Awakening, more like a number of campaigns connected to it or leading up to DA3. --Madasamadthing (talk) 23:00, March 17, 2011 (UTC)
I'd like to see DLC's like Leliana's song for some of the companions. It would be easy to make one about Isabela and the relic, or Fenris escaping from Danerius. User:TeyrnOfGwaren
Isnt Malcom Hawke dead? He is. Plus, I doubt he had a intersting story. He lived in Kirkwall, eloped to Ferelden with Leandra, avoided Templars and kept moving, settled in Lothering, had kids, raised them. Died. The end. 18.104.22.168 (talk) 03:00, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
- He could still have an interesting story, Loghain was more complex in the end than what we would have believed. User:TeyrnOfGwaren
I definitely want to see DLC featuring the DA2 companions. I was very disappointed we didn't get any DAO DLC for the other companions. I was really looking forward to a Zevran DLC. I also would like to see DLC from the POV of the qunari. Gruedragon (talk) 12:57, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
- No specific DLC has been announced yet but it's well-known that they are working on some DLC... most likely add-ons I suspect. This thread is just a bit of speculation, nothing to get excited about ;) (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 17:02, March 18, 2011 (UTC))
I'd like to see something featuring Bethany, since they took her away for half of the damn game and she was one of the best characters in my opinion. Doubt it's going to happen though - too complicated. TiagoSpurs22 (talk) 19:07, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
That's not a half bad idea. After their little mishap in the Deep Roads (SPOILERS), it'd be good to see what Carver/Bethany got up to in the Wardens, as our interaction with them afterwards was quite brief. Although, I suppose it'd cause complications if they joined the Circle/Templars, as I don't think you could make a good DLC out of strolling through the Gallows. King Cousland (talk) 19:24, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
A Carver or Bethany DLC, I dunno, they strike me more as the Daveth and Jory of the game, yeah, potentially they can survive, but come on really? The most likely DLC would probably be - Fenris escaping from Tevinter, Isabela's earlier escapades, Varric and his dealings for House Tethras' spy network or Anders leaving the Wardens and making his way to Kirkwall or Merrill's fall into Blood Magic. Mainly prequel DLCs, maybe one or two along the lines of the Stone Prisoner or Warden's Peak. --Madasamadthing (talk) 19:56, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
I want to see SOMETHING to wrap up the game better than the way it was left. Honestly, though, I'd much rather they fix the game breaking bugs in Act 3 before they even think about trying to charge people for DLC. Xorander (talk) 20:25, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
I believe on the Bioware forums, on of the Devs talked about what they saw in the results of the Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's Song DLC, and decided they were just going to do DLC that focused on the main character for Dragon Age 2 Zakary3888 (talk) 21:19, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
I would absolutely adore a DLC that brings another Specialization into the mix, except you'd have to go on a quest to train. I can't tell you how disappointed I was that they didn't bring Spirit Warrior back for DA2, and if they did, but also made you work for it, i'd be very much contented. --22.214.171.124 (talk) 21:01, April 2, 2011 (UTC)
The game only really takes place over seven years, but it was supposed to be ten. There could eventually be a dlc where Cassandra interrogates a companion of Hawke's who was with him/her a few years (or whatever) after DA2's conclusion, like a fourth act. After the story, the seekers may be pointed towards Hawke, or whatever threat he/she was after, leading into DA3. I'd honestly be a little shocked if there wasn't some DLC like Arrival for Mass Effect. Sevec (talk) 23:48, April 2, 2011 (UTC)Sevec
My hopes - A DLC where you play as a Gray Warden Bethany or Carver would be a lot of fun, bring more aspects to both of their personalities and character development to light. Bethany being pessimistic and bitter while Carver would try to make a name for himself and stop living in his older siblings shadow. Of course the very scenario of either becoming a Gray Warden is purely a hypothetical one, but I'd buy that the day it came out. Still it would have to be well done, I wouldn't settle for just two or three missions before being captured by Grace.--Felixuselegos (talk) 08:17, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
This is just a bit of fanpersonism, but I would cream if they had a DLC with Shale. who was undeniably my favorite character from Origins. I almost died when that bartender talked about a declining pigeon population. Anyway, with things like Golems of Victory and This-may or may not-be-canon Hunt, who knows what the hell they'll give us.
I'd like to see what happens with Bethany after the deep roads. DLC could also focus on any number of DAO or DAA characters, such as Leliana, Alistair, Nathaniel. We might get a DLC where you play Anders. You stir up a bowl of poop crystals and drakestones then go plant a bomb. Won't that be exciting??? LVTDUDE (talk) 15:36, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
The devs looked at the feedback from Leliana's Song and the Darkspawn Chronicles and decided that future DLC would only focus on the protagonist i.e Hawke. King Cousland (talk) 15:53, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
I can't see an awakenings type thing here. Those large add ons and continuations are designed quickly and put out to take advantage of a game's popularity. I really don't think it would sell this time to be honest, so I would doubt there would be one. But DLC's are coming, no doubt. But honestly, when has any DLC been good? All of DAO's DLC were lackluster at best, save introducing one funny character. I can't say I'm all that interested in any really. I'd rather they fix all the issues and bugs the game already has. Patches are needed here first. Many of them. The Grey Unknown (talk) 16:05, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
The problem with Darkspawn is that, after playing through and seeing these characters in a sympathetic light, you are put in the unavoidable position of killing your favorite. I liked it myself, but it really didn't add much to the game, and gave a lot of players at least one upsetting moment. Leliana's was a cop-out and a hustle; her story was retconned just to recycle maps, and in the end made even less sense for her remaining in Ferelden. That last one Bioware should've really learned the mistake of, but apparently not as their recycling is even more blatant in the base game. If there is an expansion pack, it'll probably be just like another Act of the game, minimal voice-acting, gameplay bloated by long windy trudges through identical enemies in identical maps. Doing it so cheaply it's sure to offend anyone who pays for it, just how EA likes it. DokEnkephalin (talk) 16:18, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
I just want my Shale and Staby-Mage back! *sigh* Oh how I miss you, my sweet, sweet Shale. I imagine the DLC support for this game will be great like Bioware's other game(s), especially since they're done with Mass Effe--Oh wait! Mass Effect 3 is coming out. Guess it's gonna be balls then. Oh well! Gaikang (talk) 17:32, April 4, 2011 (UTC)
