I think 18/11 should be forever known as Inquisition Day... But I like the 30/9 or 9/30 or however you want idea, the year that marks the origins of our story...[[File:DeakialSig1.png|100px|link=User:ACdeakial]] 00:33, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

With all the excitement for the upcoming release of Inquisition in a few weeks I had almost forgotten that between now and then is the Mass Effect community day on November 7th (or N7 day) and I started wondering why Dragon Age doesn't have a similar feature. Admittedly the choice of date wouldn't be so neat as with N7 day (I thought perhaps September 30th, as the Fifth Blight occurs in 9:30 Dragon) but Bioware could easily utilise such an event for publicity and community outreach purposes, such as Bioware Store sales. With the addition of multiplayer it would also provide an avenue for special events.

So what do you guys think? Is such an event feasible, or even necessary? What events could be done on such days? What dates would you suggest? --Bel3338 (talk) 14:12, October 28, 2014 (UTC)

Every day is Dragon Age Day 8D
But seriously I like your idea about 30th September. They could start showing off cool new artwork every year that day, or release some free DLC or such. Diain (talk) 18:02, October 28, 2014 (UTC)

Isn't a free DLC just called a LC? Caspoi (talk) 20:04, October 28, 2014 (UTC)
Tell me what do you think the D stands for in DLC... Diain (talk) 11:26, October 29, 2014 (UTC)
I have actually no idea. Caspoi (talk) 14:18, October 29, 2014 (UTC)
"DLC" stands for many things but in the world of video gaming it means DownLoadable Content anything from little accessories to full fledged expansions fit under that category if it's added content to the game and you have to download it it fits --WardenMaster (talk) 14:49, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

What about December 9th? D For Dragon age 9th for the age 9 of the dragon age...- Faye Cousland

Or what about the date DAO was released or the date inquisitors is released? Blitzbear93 (talk) 22:35, October 28, 2014 (UTC)Blitzbear93

Trouble with release dates is that they're different all over the world. Whilst not much of a problem, the lack of, for a better term, 'neatness' would niggle, though that might just be me. December 9th could work as it would be close enough to Inquisition's release to cash in on. A slightly more tenuous link perhaps could be April 23rd (St George's Day, who of course slew a dragon) but I think that might be pushing it --Bel3338 (talk) 02:57, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

I like September 30th because thats the year in the Dragon age universe that the games started at (9:30) --WardenMaster (talk) 03:11, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

my problem with that is that the game may have started there but the story didnt. The story started in the stolen throne. - Faye Cousland

But 9:30 is when everything started the inevitable decline to the madness in Inquisition. Everything was hunky dory till 9:30 that's when everything literally snapped I mean sure things have been boiling for years before that point but that's when everything just went psycho, the world will never be the same as it was before that year.--WardenMaster (talk) 14:13, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

If you really wanted to stretch it though you'd have to take things back to the Fourth Blight, as quite a lot of Last Flight takes place then. I think it'd be safe to say the games are seen to be more important, with the books adding important flavour, but only a small portion of the overall community would have read them. However, fan art competitions for events in the books, there's something that could happen on DAD --Bel3338 (talk) 18:40, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

But most countries use day/month/year not month/day/year so it's 30/9 but it's still a good idea.--37.203.186.186 (talk) 20:47, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

not really everything went bonkers on the 7 year of hawke- Faye Cousland
