So this just game to my mind randomly. Any wishes for voice actors for the protagonist(s) in DA3? For male Inquisitor I'd like to see either Roger Cross, Troy Baker or Tom Spackman, depending on where he is from. And for the female Inquisitor hmm... maybe Grey DeLisle or Felicia Day. It should be fine as long as they don't pick ANYONE that even closely reminds me of Jason Brody's voice actor from Far Cry 3 :D. 88.148.250.181 (talk) 11:23, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Maybe I'm sentimental, but I'd like Johny Yong Bosch or Steven Blum or Crispin Freeman as voice actor of my Inquisitor.78.8.11.27 (talk) 11:35, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

If Johnny Yong Bosch voiced the male Inquisitor, I would never play a female.70.119.193.126 (talk) 20:16, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I'd like to hear Brandon Keener as the male inquisitor. "Can it wait for bit, I'm in the middle of some Echan-tation." 87.97.124.16 (talk) 18:57, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

So far as I know the only Thedasians who generally have American voices are the Dwarves, so I'd say the above suggestions are highly unlikely - perhaps more sutible for Mass Effect 4. I'm pretty sure that both male and female Inquisitors will be voiced by British actors, given just how much of Thedas uses the various British accents. It's possible they might go with a French actor as it's said to be set in Orlais, though I'd say that's unlikley. It's a shame Jo Wyatt did Hawke in DAII, I loved her voice it'd be perfect for an inquisitor, but based on the fact that both Hawke voice actors had minor voice roles in DAO, I'd hedge a bet who evers doing the the Inquisitors will have been seen in Dragon Age before... Fereldans are based on Scotish people, elves in DA2 have Welsh accent because like in other franchises they are based on Celtic, that's why British actors are hired for dubbing characters. New countries, new people, new accents.78.8.105.175 (talk) 19:59, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Damn Scots! they ruined Scotland! Henio0 (talk) 21:09, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
No, Fereldans are (loosely) based on the English, not the Scots. Characters have distinct English accents, and the culture is somewhat Anglo-Saxon. Developers say that Ferelden is similar to what England would have been like had it thrown off it's 'Norman' invaders, as the Fereldens did to the Orlisians (though as a history buff, this comparison makes little sense to me as William the Conquer hated the French, and had a legitimate right to the English throne).
Characters from Tevinter, Kirkwall, Navara and the Anderfels, for example, all sport English accents. They say that "a British accent is sufficiently exotic to transport the viewer to a different reality while still being comprehensible to a global audience"[1]... this is the case in nearly all fantasy (Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings, for example). Alexsau1991 (talk page) 20px 20:39, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Plus it seems more appropriate for medieval times. There wasn't an American accent back then :) Henio0 (talk) 21:09, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
In previous forum was a stubborn wikia contributor, who wanted to make others think his way about Free Marches as based on America. I think that's ridiculous and I agree more with those, who think Free Marches are more like Italian nations shared after Roman Empire collapsed. But we're getting off topic.78.8.105.175 (talk) 21:36, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

NO FELICIA DAY! NO! JUST.... NO! Now, don't mistake that as Felicia-hate, I don't hate her. I quite like The Guild and I thought she did an alright job in New Vegas but I hated the self-instert-mary-sue Tallis and I don't think she could pull off voicing the main protagonists at all. Now, aside from that little detail, I don't mind whether the Inquisitor has an American accent or a British one as long as they were good. Although I probably would prefer British. I think a French accent might grate on me after a while, especially if the VA wasn't actually French. (DDragonfly1990 (talk) 09:55, April 23, 2013 (UTC))

Motherfuck Felicia Day. She wouldn't have gotten past fanfic status if it were up to me. It's not hate or jealousy or what have you. She's probably a cool person one on one or when it's just her and her circle. Not my type, but I bet we'd end up chopping it up if we met... But using a B grade actress from a moderately famous JW show from the 90's reeks of desperation even if it wasn't their [BW/EA's] idea. The fact that DA2 in it's entirety was [supposed to be, pfft whatever] about Hawke's Rise to Power and then we take a field trip to Orlais in MoTA just because [it's really all about Tallis] does not do her character any favors. Compound that with the fact that MoTA robs the player of the illusion of choice and you've got people, like me, disliking someone for a ridiculous ass reason. EA should really think things through before making these decisions. At least they were smart enough to pull the plug on Exalted March and to fold it into Inquisition. Just a poor man's 2 coppers. James Woods

(That James Woods thing^ isn't from me) Wynne doesn't have an English accent and she is Ferelden. Also why did Mahariel's clan have to change accents? It's a fantasy world, there are no England, Scottland, France, United States, or Wales- so why must all the accents be British?--Liam Sionnach (talk) 15:12, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Why British? Because using real world accents is cheaper and easier than making fictional/artificial accents. In Star Wars Imperials speak with British accent, when Rebels speak with American accent.78.10.80.25 (talk) 16:58, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
Right, I don't mean they need to make up new accents. I'm just getting sick of the British accents being the default fantasy accents. It's completely arbitrary. Why did the elves have to go from North American accents to Welsh? If it was just Merrill I wouldn't mind, because she was a minor character anyway, but why the whole clan? It wouldn't be hard to explain, maybe the different clans have different accents. Merrill wasn't originally part of Clan Sabrae- boom! She can have the Welsh accent, the others keep their original accents.--Liam Sionnach (talk) 18:00, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
Only Merril was given a Welsh accent! The rest had Gaelic accents. Also these accents fit better with the Elven language, than English or American accents do. --Xxellenmaysongxx (talk) 15:47, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

If I wanted a young Inquisitor, I'd like him to be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosh and if an experienced one, I'd prefer him to have voice of Steven Blum.78.9.0.93 (talk) 08:37, June 1, 2013 (UTC)

Hmmmm... Grey DeLisle, Good sense of taste. that pretty lady had worked with Bioware and Black isle before so it would make sense in having her create the voice for the female inquisitor, not a bad idea. --Seeking Seer, (The Deceiver's Bane) 04:46, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Since DA:I is speculated to be heavily set in Orlais. I would guess that the protagonist would likely have a French accent, or at least one of the origins will. Though, that depends if they are willing to pay two voice actor for origin. I doubt it, but would be cool. Anyway, my guess is that the protagonist is most likely going to be Orlaisian, so would require a voice actor who has a French accent, or can pull a believable one. Nothing over the top, and stereotypical. --Xxellenmaysongxx (talk) 15:33, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

All the origins will have the same voice and accent, there wont be seperate voice actors for each origin. And I'd be willing to bet that both the male and female voice actors will be British, regardless of the fact DA3 is to be set in Orlais. After all DA2 was set in the Free Marches and the protagonist came from Ferelden. The reason being, A. to many an Orleiasn accent would be somewhat iritaing, and more difficult to understand. And B. A British accent would allow for more wide ranging Origins, given that Tevinter, Ferelden, Navara, the Free Marches and many other places have them. An Orlisian accent would be more limiting, origins wise. 31.51.44.89 (talk) 17:59, June 3, 2013 (UTC)
You have never hear an Essex accent have you? Because that's a British accent! That's far more irritating... --Xxellenmaysongxx (talk) 17:04, June 4, 2013 (UTC)
I certainly have heard an Essex accent. But as I think you know, the 'British accent' I refer to is the Received Pronunciation and Estuary English, spoken in the South East of England, which is best known outside of England as a 'British accent'. Incase you had forgotten, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish accents are also technically 'British accents', but they are never described as such. 31.51.44.89 (talk) 16:24, June 6, 2013 (UTC)

Seth Rogen as the Inquisitor. "DUHEUHEUHEU"

For the female Inquisitor, I'd like someone like Ali Hillis. For the male one, I really don't know, Troy Baker or Brian Bloom maybe. Marauder 09 FoC cover I can make the Black Sun look like a Swoop Gang. 03:36, June 6, 2013 (UTC)

Tara Strong's voice would be a hilarious a protagonist of DA3.156.17.71.249 (talk) 08:37, June 6, 2013 (UTC)

Though I don't support it, it seems likely that Felicia Day will show up again as Tallis. I like the character Tallis (An Elf who follows the Qun could bring up some interesting conversations and choices as a companion during the game.) and I like Felicia Day, but I did not like Felicia Day as Tallis. Her voice didn't really seem to fit the character. More than that I can't explain, as I can't think of any other specific reason why I didn't like it. I just didn't. Period.65.184.249.129 (talk) 02:47, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

For female Inquisitor I vote for Jennifer Hale and Kezia Burrows (voices Nilin from the new game; Remember Me). I don't care much for a male, because I never play males xd

And for god's sake.. NO Felicia Day. I seriously hate that woman.. --AbovexReality (talk) 12:59, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

For the most part I think we'll see Bioware regulars (maybe Hale but I sort of doubt it) or anyone else from ME or DA previously since Bioware has a tendency to keep the same people involved. But I don't want them to break the budget on voice talent either. Especially if it takes away from somewhere else. There are plenty of good, talented, perhaps new actors out there who can pull off any role if you can hire the right ones. I'd stay away from any well known names actually, especially any with strong ties to other media. And I'm positive we'll get the usual cameos and smaller roles for previous characters like Flemeth, Leliana, Alistair, Hawke, and others. I'm on the fence about Claudia Black though. Morrigan making an appearance is probably a given, but it really does kind of make me apprehensive. The Grey Unknown (talk) 13:31, June 8, 2013 (UTC)

Many of players wish to hear new voices.78.8.138.123 (talk) 15:02, June 8, 2013 (UTC)
