I've been playing as a dual wielding rogue and I prefer my weapons match (at least in appearance) but I have had a hard time finding matching weapons. Does anyone have a list of what matches what/which ones I can get more than one of? For example, my Hawke is using Bard's Honor and Fiona and Isabela is using 2 Honeycuts.--Vampire Damian (talk) 18:14, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

Not really, even though this isn't the first time I've seen a question like this. It's particularly strange since for example the blade used in Varric's embellished opening looks like Finesse and has a twin, yet I know for a fact it has no match in the game. You'd think they'd think this through. Still, such a list would be useful and I'm surprised it hasn't been assembled yet. RShepard227 (talk)

I always gave Is Finesse and Spider's Heart. They look, almost, like the daggers Default Rogue Hawk uses. B.S.S.T. (talk)

It doesn't exactly answer the question but I have generated a table of rogue melee weapons, row = model, column = material (i.e. tint color). Unique weapons are highlighted by links, the rest are generic (random loot). Some of these weapons may not be obtainable, the list was generated directly from the game files.

^ Bloody hell, nice work! Is this every dagger in DA2, or are you missing anything? Any chance we could make this into its own page? Also, Dagger of the Four Winds has the same model as the fourth row, shouldn't it be moved there, or am I missing something? RShepard227 (talk)

It's every dagger that shares a model with some other dagger. I've excluded NPC/cutscene daggers and Champion's Edge ("iconic" weapon used in the fake prologue, same model as Finesse) since you can only obtain them via console on PC. I didn't check the actual models (i.e. meshes), only model codes, so it's possible that two rows are actually the same model with different codes. – mostlyautumntalkcontribs • 14:19, September 20, 2012 (UTC)

Good list but it is missing at least a couple daggers. 2 that I noticed were the same make but different color are Stitch-Maker (silverite) and Bloodletter (onyx). I think the only ones I haven't been able to find anything about matches or duplicates for now are Finesse, Coterie Shiv, Guild Dagger and The Maker's Kiss. And I think you may be right about some of these being unobtainable since there are a few I haven't found either in the game or on the wiki. Such as Ragged Edge, Shine, Orlesian Dagger, Enforcer's Blade, Carta Thug's Dagger, Blade of Calling, Blade of Forgiveness, Blade of Deliverance, Blemished Dagger, Serrated Blade, City Guard Dagger and Hunter's Dagger. --Vampire Damian (talk) 14:36, September 20, 2012 (UTC)

I've removed City Guard Dagger and Hunter's Dagger, they actually don't have a model at all. Stitch-Maker and Bloodletter technically do have different models but they may be close enough to look the same. – mostlyautumntalkcontribs • 17:25, September 20, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah when I was looking at them (Stitch-Maker/Bloodletter) they looked like they were both modeled after the Dalish Dar'Misu daggers in DAO. Might be some small technical difference though or maybe just some detail I didn't notice.--Vampire Damian (talk) 17:37, September 20, 2012 (UTC)

If you know how to mod, you can also choose a "model" that you like (I did the Dar'Misu look which is w_dgr_dg103a), get the item_variation.gda file. Open it, find all instances with daggers and change "model" category. Granted, this will make everyone's look the same, and does mess w/ Isabella's cutscene (she still has her defaults, if you change her model), and you may have different color handles or blades, but I found it less maddening.Palipride47 (talk) 06:11, September 28, 2012 (UTC)
