Since character creation is one of my favorite aspects of the game, I was wondering if anyone knew if character creation was part of the demo. Do we have to play as a default Hawke for the demo? Have there been any videos posted of the character creation process? How do you plan to design your first Hawke or do you plan to use the default? 66.58.150.31 (talk) 17:09, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the character creator is disabled for the demo. So we'll have to play as the default Hawke, though we can choose male or female and class. I haven't seen any videos of people really playing around with the creator, I wish there was a thorough video for that, but we may have to wait for the actual game. When I get the game, I'll look at all the presets, but will probably start with the one we've seen and actually make her pretty. I don't think the default female Hawke is very pretty at all, so I'll be happily giving her a makeover. I plan to keep the black hair also, since your siblings will always have black hair regardless of how you change Hawke's appearance and I like using black hair anyway. I also hope there are some good hair styles (I play on PS3, so I get what they give us). XIII Lightning (talk) 17:32, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Bummer. I was hoping for something like the character creator for origins, but I guess some game play is better than no game play. I think my first Hawke will be a female with black hair (because it just seems weird for her to have any other color given her family’s hair color). I also think I’m going to try and make her look more like Bethany (play up the whole family resemblance). 66.58.150.31 (talk) 18:11, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

If you watch the videos that are linked in the article A Sneak Peek Playthrough of the Demo it shows that the character creation scene takes place but I'm not sure if they couldn't mess around with it or didn't want to. But they could change the name.

My bad. I didn't know, but come to think of it i do remember vaugley someone mentioning that the hair will stay the same. Still thanks now i know --Astenbaud (talk) 00:29, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I do know you can create your own character, as I have seen pictures of customized Hawkes. For the Demo, however? I am not sure. By the way, who ever made the message above mine, remember to sign what you say.--XeroSnake (talk) 20:10, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

I find that it is probably a good thing they didn't put in the character creation for the demo. Because they more then likely tweaked it and I think they should keep it as something we discover.GreyWolf84 (talk) 20:24, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Character creation is in the demo it's just more limited then in the full game but it is in there.--199.16.223.2 (talk) 21:08, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Just a little FYI note when you change Hawkes hair, the colour changes for your familly as well. Bioware says it's to avoid any awkward conversations involving adoption.--Astenbaud (talk) 23:19, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

The hair color doesn’t change. The skin color does. They decided to keep their hair black to avoid strange looking combinations and black looks good with all skin colors. Chansel (talk) 23:37, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

The hair colour makes sense because black hair is the most common hair colour in the world. Anyway, the demo will at most be an hour long I think, so there really isn't much point in adding the character creation, although it might have been nice if they allowed it as a seperate download so that people could have made their Hawke and imported them into the game. Which of course would have been complicated if you have to make two loads (if you imported an Origins save). --Madasamadthing (talk) 01:17, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I'm planning on sticking with black hair and probably using the default preset and tweaking it around to make him seem more badass. I have a feeling the character creation will be improved from orgins. --Ryukoshu (talk) 01:22, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I checked the demo preview one more time and it does say at the bottom of the screen that appearance modification is disabled for the demo. 66.58.150.31 (talk) 02:26, February 19, 2011 (UTC)
