Currently, the deletion tag is worded like this (which is the default template):

If you can address this concern by improving the template, please edit this page and do so. You may remove this notice if you improve this template or object to this deletion for any reason. To avoid confusion, please explain why you contest the deletion on your edit summary and on this page's talk page.

The current problem with the deletion process is that when an article is nominated for deletion, the main contributor may sometimes remove it. The problem is that said contributor obviously doesn't want the article to be deleted as they created it. This has, in the past, laid to a silly edit war on the deletion tag being added and removed, which I believe is due to the template.

As such, I suggest that the deletion tag is worded like the one Wikipedia:

Please share your thoughts on the matter at this article's entry on the Articles for deletion page.
Feel free to edit the article, but the article must not be blanked, and this notice must not be removed, until the discussion is closed.

The template has been changed. Since we don't have an "Articles for deletion" page, it was changed to the article's talk page of course. --D. (talk · contr) 22:20, July 21, 2011 (UTC)
