I couldn't find any lore one way or the other, but do you guys think it's possible for someone who really screwed up, Branka comes to mind, to be stripped of their Paragon status? After all, Paragons are supposed to be the best of Dwarven society, so if one of them did something so horrible that they became reviled, as Branka did, do you think the Shaperate would strike them from the Memories? --TheFereldenMagister (talk) 23:10, December 10, 2014 (UTC)

Possibly, but I doubt that it would be "proper": the paragons are supposed to be living ancestors, etc. From what I have understood as soon as the assembly has voted on this person they are basically above reproach. Caspoi (talk) 00:15, December 11, 2014 (UTC)

Paragons are put on the same pedestal of a God, almost, so whatever would happen, the Paragon would be given the benefit of the doubt, no matter what. If they WERE to lose their status, they would probably be at the same status of an exile and have their name stripped from the Memories. Them being Paragon would also be stripped from the Memories. They'd be forever forgotten. NutMeg29 00:48, December 11, 2014 (UTC)

About the only conceivable reason I could see for stripping a Paragon of their status would be the discovery that they were not responsible for the achievement that raised them to Paragon-hood to begin with. Certainly, I do not think Branka's status is likely to be questioned because, however twisted her actions, she was acting in what she perceived as the best interests of the Dwarven people. For a Paragon to be removed because of their subsequent actions, I think they would have actually have had to be responsible for the destruction of the Dwarven nation, which would leave the whole question of that Paragon's official status rather academic. Either that or they might be stripped of paragonhood due to evidence that they had bribed or blackmailed their way to it, similarly to the great crime of fixing the Provings. Caspoi (talk) 15:01, December 11, 2014 (UTC)
I'm not so sure - Paragon status is assigned by a vote of the Deshyrs in the Assembly, which appears to operate under VERY different rules from the Provings... I'm not sure the noble Deshyrs would know HOW to hold a vote in the Assemby without bribery or blackmail!
They might elevate a poor person without influence as Paragon and this might be done by later deshyrs who might want to slander the previous ones and the Paragon. Caspoi (talk) 16:01, December 11, 2014 (UTC)

Unfortunately there is no lore about this subject. If I want to make a guess, I'd go with NutMeg's idea. Na via lerno victoria 22:47, December 14, 2014 (UTC)
